Hopefully a new beginning....

Hi, it took me weeks to make up my mind to join. I've been overweight my whole adult life and been on a healthy eating/diet all that time. Being disabled exercise is a problem for me. At one time I weighed 18st 7lbs and I could barely move. I managed to lose over 6st through diet only but put over 2st back on going through menopause and I comfort eat as well. I've just reached 14st again after putting weight on over Christmas and I thought enough is enough. This looked like the place to find support and helpful advice. Any advice will be welcome. I've just started the 12 week plan. Did well yesterday only to comfort eat today because I've had a stressful day.

Everyone has setbacks, as long as you dont let it take you off track completely you can always recover. I used to comfort eat so now have lots of healthier snacks on hand so if i do its still healthier than my old choices.

Good luck with the plan :-)

Thanks for the advice. The annoying thing is I did buy some fruit that morning. Today is a new beginning. Today WILL be better.

Hi, I only started on Monday. Monday was great but then yesterday I had Christmas Pudding and a grab bag of crappy crisps. One day in and I was already failing! But I did eat more fruit and veg and exercised more than if I hadn't been following the plan. So I'm going to focus on the positives and try again today. I'm sorry you're not finding it easy either mumonwheels but it's reassuring to know its a normal part of the process. Let's see if we can make it through to the end of the week.

We'll both make it because this is definitely the place to be. On New Years day we always have the same meal we have at Christmas, turkey and all. This year I'll have make sure that I have smaller portions. We'll both make through to the end of the week, we wouldn't have joined if we weren't committed to lose weight.
