Hi, my name is Jen and I joined because I have realised that I am over weight and unhealthy which makes me unhappy. I am ready to change my life one step at a time. And along this journey, I could inspire others to be all they could be as well. It will not be easy and there are times I will fall but as long as I don't give up as I have done in the past, I now see a better and healthier life for me so if you are on the same road as me, text me back and say hi. I would love to hear from you and let's do this together.
A New Day - A New Beginning: Hi, my name... - Weight Loss Support
A New Day - A New Beginning
Hi and welcome, Stay_Blessed62
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news
Have a look at the 12 week plan, as many people have been successful following it. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Welcome Stay_Blessed62 ! You are right we all inspire each other . Keep posting regularly, and reading the posts of others and you'll stay better motivated. I personally don't view what I'm doing as a diet, it's a change of life to healthy living. I've got over 5.5 stones to lose, but with the advice and encouragement of everyone on this forum and the C25K one, I feel the most motivated ever to succeed. If you're tired of starting again, stop giving up...xx
Hi Jen I started just over two weeks ago and have lost 6 1/2 pounds and have started slowly. I have taken up using an exercise bike and do 30 minutes a day I walk my greyhounds over the park every day about 40 minutes and this week with the pedometer keeping a watch on my steps its amazing how many you can do in a day . I feel each day easier and look forward to getting up and deciding what to do for the day best of luck Jen
