Hi Mandy8695,

Losing those last few pounds to achieve your ideal weight is never easy - just look at those of us who are in Caz's last few pounds club!

The simplest way in my view is to keep track of your food and drink using an online calorie counter like myfitnesspal or nutracheck, and up the exercise where possible; running, cycling, swimming or just plain old walking, especially uphill!

Even just moving more at home...running up and down stairs, keeping busy generally will burn calories.

It may be that you are busy in your life and can't find the energy to be really active; work on finding what motivates you (a new pair of jeans, a wedding, a big birthday etc) and once the food is more balanced, (less carbs, higher protein) hopefully the energy will return! Post on this forum with your good days (and not so good days) for mutual support.

Thank you dumpling! I use my fitness pal and have done for 5 years, really helpful. If I overeat I have to pay the price like borrowed money the following day.

I exercise 40 min to 60 everyday but only mildly on exercise mat but not enough to break sweat. My husband says I need more vigorous exercise but don't know what I could do as too lazy for gym and too cold to run.

Crisps were my downfall had one packet small today

Need new strategy! Thanks

Maybe you need something to get the adrenalin going? A new hobby or sport perhaps? Ballroom dancing? Dog agility? Sub-aqua class? See what you can come up with....anything to keep your mind (and body) busy and diverted.
