Hi this is my first post, and I don't know why but today feels like the right day to join this group. I completed the C25K programme a few months ago. I have a tendency to give up when things get difficult, returning to my old habits is very comforting and something I've done for as long as I can remember. But with the support and encouragement of the C25K forum members I made it through to the end. It was a huge achievement and the only time I've ever been really proud of myself - and it's actually been a life changer; I look forward to and love going out on my runs π I'm hoping the same might happen for me here with regards to my eating habits -another difficult area that I've tried to address on and off throughout my life. So I'll leave it at that, and hope that just by posting this I'm at the start of another positive journey π I have a good feeling about this π€
Hello π: Hi this is my first post, and... - Weight Loss Support
Hello π
Hi and welcome, Flaraflarkin
Well done for completing the C25K, I know exactly how you feel about that achievement, as it was the same for me
This is also a supportive and encouraging forum and I'm sure that your weight loss journey will be just as successful.
Looking forward to seeing you joining in with all that we have to offer
Hi flaraflarkin-I know what you mean-it is so easy to go back to old ways but we can never give up. I've also had eating problems for ever and I hope I have now started to overcome them. I like affirmations like "today I abandon my old habits and take up new healthy ones". Good luck and well done for completing the programme
Welcome- my top tip to you is to join in with the daily diary, good to keep on track and great for inspiration. I am on week 6 of couch25k- any tips for me πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Welcome Flaraflarkin, you're in good company. It's exhilarating to finish C25K. I think it's terrific that you've joined us, as you'll have lots of new challenges to keep you going here, and we're a really good bunch. Looking forward to getting to know you!
Wow what a great achievement it's something I would love to complete but I'm rubbish at running give me a cross trainer may be one day I be brave enough to try again
You might be pleasantly surprised! It's designed for people who are at Zero in terms of running - you could be the perfect candidate ~ I was exactly the same π
What a very positive post βΊοΈ
If you can convert that energy and commitment into developing new eating habits, you'll do great
