Hi everyone. I’m 44 years old and joined the C25K forum 20 months ago. I did it so as to get off the couch and become healthier. I have been over weight since my mid 20’s by about 2-3 stone. This year I decided to sort myself out and lose the weight once and for all. I’m 5’ 7’’ tall/small depending on your own height😀, and as of the 15/11/2018 I weighted 14 Stone even.
I have been running 3 times per week since and doing Parkrun. Of course I have also been really watching what I’m eating and have lost weight. I’m now 12 Stone 8 lbs. My goal is to get to 11 Stone 9 lbs.
I recon the last 13 lbs will be harder work and will be more difficult to lose hence why I have joined this forum. Looking forward to getting some tips, help and motivation. I’m 45 in the middle of May so plan to be at my goal weight by then.

Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your weight loss. I started the couch to 5k this year with a group in my local area, I am currently on week 8, I probably wouldn't have got to week 8 if it wasn't for their support. Good luck with your continued success.
Morning. Well done on your achievements. I’ve also completed c25k and I’m running 2-3 x 5k per week now. I’m still committed to this however what I’m finding difficult is my diet! I start off well then it goes pear shaped. 🙄
Thanks. I found the C25K plan to be excellent. I never thought I'd be able to run 5K, it seemed like a Marathon a few years ago. But now its just a nice 30 minute run which I look forward to. I have found also that since I have lost 20 lbs it has become so much easier. Personally I don't feel like i have changed but as my weight decreases my running speed increases. And the notches on my belt are moving inwards.
I am just making healthier choices. I am staying clear from bread and anything sweet. Bread is my enemy, I love it but I put on weight very quickly if I don't take care of what I'm eating. If I get really hungry I will have some water and a piece of fruit. I have cut down to half my portion sizes for dinner, especially pasta and rice. I have not had a slice of toast in about 2 months. However at the weekend after Parkrun I treated myself to a Slice of Toast with butter and strawberry jam. It tasted amazing and really really sweet. Because I'm not eating anything sweet my taste buds were super sensitive to the taste.
Losing weight is really really hard. I have tried so many times and failed. But this time I am going to do it, no doubt. By mid May I will have hit my target. I have never set a goal for weight loss by a certain time before. I think having an achievable realistic goal is helping to drive me forward. But it is really hard.
