Hi Aqua_marine, sounds good to me! Can't try it tonight! No almond milk! I'll get some tomorrow when I go shopping! Yum 😜😇😁

I have some but by golly I will resist. Before diet I was drinking this mixed as a health shake with banana, apple and a handfull of spinach, only added the spinach when my doc suggested it. Now its 1.8g of fat per100ml is too high for a snack. Mind you once I have shifted enough weight, I may use the almond milk to up the fats abit. Smoothies in the morning with some cocao in :)

one cup of almond plus cocoa is hardly a cream cake so I am coincidering it a guilt free treat.

Sounds good, I thought you could not heat almond milk?? I made oats so simple with it a few times and it did not thicken ??

Will give it a go nothing as good as a mug of cocoa takes me back to when a child.

😇

Hi there

I have been having a cup of full milk heated with cinnamon instead of a pudding.find it really sweet and satisfying. I have been considering changing to unsweetened almond milk instead.

Does it heat up nicely aqua?

Would appreciate you advice before I go buy it! 😊

in reply toasics

Hi. Yes heated it up slowly in a pan the old fashioned way.

Fantastic! Thank you, that's how I heat my milk but I am a bit heavy handed with gas on full!

Today I will get some and try it. Thank you.

If this works and I can think of an alternative for my little scrapping of cheddar on crackers, I may do another pledge this week to give up diary for a wee while. Just need to check out my calcium. 😊

I really enjoyed it last night. It stopped me feeling like I needed a snack and it felt like a luxury.

Hi Aqua,

This sounds delicious for a cold night. Or a cold day too. :-)

Lowcal :-)

Have you tried the coconut milk, aqua ? I have that now on my porridge (mixed with some normal skim milk) and that's delicious. I bet it would be good with cocoa as well ! :-)

in reply to

Is that the normal coconut milk or one produced like the almond milk? Where did you get it from? I have had the hazelnut milk which is nice too.

This has opened up a whole new set of flavours for me.

in reply to

It's the one produced like Almond Milk (I think it has a bit of rice milk in as well). I just get it from Sainsburys - they sell it in the same place as the cartons of Soya/Almond milk etc (both with the fresh milk and the UHT milk).

I've never tried the hazelnut milk - sounds nice as well ! :-)

in reply to

Well I am going to try coconut milk when I next go to sainsburys. Hazelnut milk was very nice.
