I decided to give it a go this week and try almond milk as its less calories than skimmed. (26kcal per 200ml) Quite nice on cereal if any of you are wanting to find ways of using less calories.

Almond milk
Hi Jennypenny272,
I also use almond milk on my cereal, and really like it. I didn't realise it was quite as low calorie as that, so it's great to see that.

I buy it from tesco/Morrison. You can buy it in the milk section or in the UHT milk section. It's about £1.50 for a carton. The make I buy is Alpro Almond unsweetened.
Sweetened one is more calories.
Ha ha sorry! Erm...from the packet it says they are roasted then spring water is added??
If I made it myself would I be strong enough to resist eating the almonds all in one go? However, I have never tried the almond milk or heard of it until today.
i was told by harefield to drink soya milk as its very good for the heart apro sugar free is very tasty
Hi everyone,
I decided to take a closer look at the ingredients in the Almond milk after reading the posts above - and I have to say that the one I had purchased has sugar as the main ingredient after water, so I am thinking of not getting it anymore. It's nice to see a recommendation from Rogbert for soya milk - and he mentions it is sugar free and very tasty. Has anyone else tried it, and do they also recommend it?
There are so many different products out there. It can be a bit confusing sometimes!

Just had to check my carton...
I buy unsweetened almond milk. It's 0.1g sugar per 100ml better than skimmed cows milk at 5g per 100ml.
I guess the sweetened almond is bad... Same with soya milk sweetened. Almond milk unsweetened has a better natural flavour to soya unsweetened.
