I have weighed in today for first time, 13st 5lb. I need to get back on track in last year I lost 3 stone. Not put much on again but want to stop it happening.
I've been in wheelchair for last 12 weeks following surgery. So had no exercise .as ordered by surgeon.
Was 50 last week.

How uncanny. I am exactly same weight as you and turn 50 on Saturday... I'm hoping to get fit for an operation later in the year. Weird! And...my name's Jane
It's hard not being able to exercise and particularly if you're reliant on others to do shopping etc? I've just downloaded an app which counts calories and am going to try for the 1400 daily allowance the NHS suggests. I like the idea that, if you go over one day, you can gradually reduce the 'overloaded' calories over the other days. Will give it a try at least
Wishing you a good recovery... Slow and steady wins the race
Yes you can still do it...put your mind to it keep at 1400 one day less than up again...im doing up down with calorues ive stayed the same thus week...but been nibbling on cheese..ive thrown it away...as i was eat at nite with a apple but ive ate a big block lol so thats gone out of the window...lol it was nice while it lasted..but i put a pound on...lol but boy it was worth every crumb lol
Hi Janey - I'm still trying to get down to 1400 calories per day I'm averaging around 1700 (which is an improvement!) and am using an app on my phone to keep track of them...
Exercise-wise, I've started doing stretches every morning for the last week. I need to add in some cardio stuff and was considering buying a FitBit but think it's a personal trainer I need!! That's not going to happen though...
Let's keep going - day at a time, I guess. Good news on the exercise class for you. Hope you enjoyed it.
