Hi everyone. Quick update. Feeling much better this week then last. To start me off im going to reduce my calories to 1250. My dad used this method before he had his gastric bypass 3 years ago and he lost loads. On that note what's people's thoughts and opinions on any gastric surgery?

Feeling Better
Had a friend who had it done. It worked for a while, then she had it removed and put on weight again.
She has gone on a low fat diet and I think it is a mistake as she has increased her sugar intake.
Gastric surgery is something I contemplated seeing about. But deep down, I don't know if it would be a lifelong success for me. I personally need to change my habits and how I feel about food.
1250 is quite low, but I guess it depends on your starting weight? I have a lot to lose and am aiming for between 1500-1600 per day, which is actually slightly less than the NHS site suggests, but I feel I'm plenty loads of fresh, good food. I'd have a look at the NHS calculator and go from there if I were you? You obviously want a sustainable loss.
Hi,
Personally, I'm not a fan of surgery thinking that it is a much better life decission to develop positive life long skills and techniques. People just seen to be impatient to get quick/instant results. It took time for me to grow to this size and so will take time for me to change and grow back to a better size, shape, body-composition and weight.
But, at the end of this process, I'll be a much stronger person in body and mind!
