Well my diet started Monday and I’m already feeling so much better about myself. I dug out my gym clothes, which by the way were SO small... so I ended up getting new ones, haha.
Daily walks through the nature reserves and forests has been really refreshing, albeit sweaty in this humidity (honestly I’ve never felt sweat actually come out of my pores before😳)
At home fizzy drinks have been cut out (apart from Pepsi max, I still need some form of caffeine with 2 young children to look after or I’d faint) , crisps (my weakness) have gone and we are having healthier meals and smaller portion sizes at dinner.
So far, 2lbs lost and I’m not looking back. I’m determined to do better! Soon I hope to start joining my partner on his runs, but being an asthmatic I get out of breath running up the stairs😅 but one can hope and dream!
Good luck everyone! 🌻

Yeah I’m enjoying looking around, it’s keeping me sane and motivated
Definitely not- we still have ‘snack time’ on the evening but now instead of diving head first into the biscuit tin, I’m tracking my calories to make sure I stick to my daily intake!
You're sounding very organised I see you've joined the Wednesday Wobble Warriors. They're brilliant and will be there for you through all the ups and downs. Do have a chat with them today and especially look out for anyone who's in need of a bit of encouragement
Well done for taking the plunge, sounds like you are very organised and determined, I’m sure you will do very well. I like your trendy gym clothes too, I haven’t got any yet but once I loose more weight I will invest in some.
Well done sunflower. In this heat I think about exercise and then go and stick my face in a bowl of water! But I have plans and I've been choosing my favourite YouTube workouts. Just need a drop. In temperature. Good luck catching up with your partner.
I couldn’t just ask you are you on a preventative inhaler as well as a reliever.
That's really good Sunflower95, your determination will really help and well done on changing your snacking habits to better choices 🙂
Oh what you have said is exactly what happened to me a few years back. I always used my reliever like you, just before exercising, it just worked so much better for me. However two asthma nurses really berated me and said I wasn’t to use the reliever like that..The doctor seemed fine but not the asthma nurses. I felt bullied into taking steroids, and they made me feel like I was the only one using it in that manor. That’s why i was interested in what inhalers you are on. My practice stops your inhalers and makes you go in for a telling off if your not using them how they want you to use them . I guess it may depend on ones peak flow, mine is quite low.
