Antibiotics and thyroid meds

Just gets better and better. Just spoke with my GP and now need antibiotics due to a possible infected sore on my inner thigh, most likely a pressure sore/infected hair folicle blah blah which I believe is from sitting too long crosslegged at the computer day in and day out.

5 day course. Do I need to take my split dose T3 well away from each antiobitic tablet?

Plus it's going to wipe out all my good good bacteria (if I actually have any), so I will need a probiotic afterwards no doubt. Any idea on a decent one please? Spoke with someone at Amrita where I usually get all my supps and he recommended this one which is designed to be taken alongside antibiotics but I prefer to take it after I finish the course amritanutrition.co.uk/produ...

Had a long chat about my worsened anxiety the last couple of months and my upping my T3 a little nearly 4 weeks ago which I hadn't yet informed her about.

As I feel it's making me worse I am going back to my 10mcg for now. Not had a full panel since December 2022 so she has arranged for a full blood panel to be done including liver, kidneys, sugar, Ferritin, B12, Folate etc., and also added T4 and T3 to the list (which being the NHS they might ignore she said). Never know when and what time they are going to come (as I have home visits) so will be difficult to dose my T3 correctly

regarding probiotic I’d recommend S. Boulardii while taking the antibiotics and then L Reuteri/L Gasseri after. Dr William Davies book Supergut is a valuable resource for times like this.

so difficult to know what and which to take because so many different strains and doses around and the usual conflicting info on the net

worked with a so called meno specialist a few years ago but she made me extremely ill so I just went back onto my patch (which I don't absorb enough of) and stayed there. HRT has been on the back burner to deal with whilst I try and get my thyroid levels optimal. Post meno now around 10yrs
