I am currently recovering from Covid and would like some advice regarding my latest blood test results from Monitor my Health. I have updated my bio with my journey thus far. I am currently on a pre-diabetes programme through my GP and because of a mix up at Dr’s (they did thyroid function test at same time as HbA1c - l had taken my levo) so l did a private blood test. I think l need an increase in levo but they are being set in the ranges and won’t increase, however are quite willing to prescribe statins which l refused. Can someone please help me make sense of my results. My result at GP was TSH 3.11 [0.35-4.94] and t4 11.1[9~19]
Private test done per protocol on a Monday and results are:
TSH 5.1 [0.27-4.2]
FT4 16.5 [12~22]
FT3 5.2 [3.1-6.8]
vit d 109 nmol (note to stop taking supplements)
Folate 12 ug/L - normal
Ferritin 186 ug/L - normal
Active b12 103 pmol/L - normal
I have reduced my Better you D spray to one: l also take 1 igennus b complex tablet and 1 igennus triple magnesium complex. Thanks ☺️

Oh no! The dreaded unexpected thyroid test! I’ve had three of those done lately. I now just time my NDT to fit in with my blood tests - whether or not I’m expecting a thyroid test
Your TSH suggests that you’re undermedicated although it’s in range How do you feel?
I am tired most of the time even before my bout of Covid, not sleeping well. Jobs l did at work l struggle with - work in retail so it can be heavy just got no muscle power left. I thought l would have felt much better by now. Only good thing is a can walk a lot further without legs feeling like lead weights 🙂
l have updated my bio with my journey so far with my results of tests.
I was diagnosed last October after having 2 blood tests one at 33 TSH and another at above range and a high TPO result, I was initially started on 25 mcg, after a mix up in December was retested and levo increased to 50 mcg in Feb, after l had already tried for an increase from advice on this forum.
I have done all testing as advised and taken on board all supplement advice.
On My last telephone appointment with medical practice they wouldn’t consider increase in levo as my result was in range, (at the time l had HbC1a blood test they did thyroid at same time - it was 11 am and l had taken my levo),however they were keen to prescribe statins which l refused. I will remember from now on regardless of type of blood test, to book first thing and not take my levo just in case they drop it in again. I am seriously considering changing practice as the one l am registered with is on 3 sites and you get little chance of seeing same GP.

Very wise. Problem is that it’s part of standard screening in A&E or GP urgent appt. My last experience of unexpected thyroid test was a few weeks ago when I had an urgent appt via triage with duty doctor because of acute abdomen and they tested for what seemed like everything.
