Was test done early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Is this how you did your test

Free T4 (fT4) 16.7 pmol/L (12 - 22)

Ft4 (Levo) only 47.0% through range

You need next 25mcg dose increase in Levo as next step

retest again in another 8-10 weeks

How much levothyroxine are you taking

Which brand

Vitamin levels good

are you on gluten free diet and/or dairy free diet

Morning slowdragon

Yes the test was around 8.15am, water only and last dose levo 24 hours before.I take B complex containing Biotin so stopped that 3 days before too.

I am currently taking 75mcg & 100mcg alternate days with a view to taking 100mcg daily.

I usually have Mercury Pharma 50mcg & 25 mcg Wockhardt but i dont combine them. I use tablet cutter for splitting the 50’s when i need to take the 75 mcg.

My endo consultant was seriously ill in Oct with all his clinics closed so am now back under the GP. So i find myself doing my own testing with Blue horizon.

I have been reading Rachel Hill thyroid advocate book and realised my levo dosage is too low …. hence the testing of that and vitamins & cortisol. Also my endo never mentioned Hashi’s to me once.He did say i had strong positive antibodies though. He was ‘old school’ Levo is ‘best we have’ and all that!!…

I assume i convert T4 to T3 okay?

Also is taking B complex daily giving me too much B12? Should i start taking alternate days with that? I dont take any other B12 as well.

I am dairy free but not gluten free. I have tried but it didnt make any difference to me.

I also take a prebiotic daily, that helps me a lot with my gut.

I appreciate your guidance.

Thanks.

You could alternate a daily vitamin B complex and a separate folate

Definitely increase levo dose to 100mcg daily
