Auto immune hypothyroid taking 100mcg Levo. Take iron tablets as ferritin usually 50-60 without.

Suspected IBS and lots of gut issues.

Feeling tired, aching weak feeling and some symptoms of low B12/folate but all results are in range and considered normal.

Serum TSH level: 0.7 mIU/L (range 0.4 to 5)

Serum free T4 level: 15 pmol/L (range 9 to 19)

Serum folate: 6.1 ug/L (range 3.1 to 20.0)

Serum vitamin B12: 362 ng/L (range 189 to 883)

Serum ferritin: 109 ug/L (range 5 to 204)

Any thoughts or advice gratefully received 🙏🏼

Folate and B12 would be much better near top end of range to help conversion

Free T4 (fT4) 15 pmol/L (9 - 19) 60.0% so room for an increase in T4

Sounds like symptoms of low fT3, have you ever had a full thyroid panel to see how well you convert?

You used to take T3 but have stopped?

I did take t3 but only ever a small amount, I had trouble sourcing more and was difficult being able to afford private blood tests following a relationship breakdown. I think I lost my way with everything really 🙁 maybe I need to look again at t3 again and supplementing B12 and b vitamin complex.

Don’t have a recent full thyroid panel. Sometimes with GP don’t even get a T4 result just the TSH

Life does mess us about doesn't it ☹️ time to prioritise you

I'd be looking to increase your T4 by 25mcg and adding a good B Vit complex and get a full panel done in 8 weeks to see how things are 🤗

Thank you I’ve ordered the B vitamin complex and I’ll see if the GP will consider and a small increase in t4 🤞🏻

I do have some better you b12 spray, so would this be any use alongside or just stick with tablets?

I top up with a sublingual B12 too as I don’t seem to get enough from the tablets. Certainly worth using to get your levels up quickly 👍
