hello all.

I am 39 year old mother to 3 children. I have found this group after looking for somewhere to purchase NDT, after having read the stop this thyroid madness book.

i had a routine blood test back in july, due to complaints of fatigue/weight not budging and cold toes and hands. To my disbelief my tsh was 12.3! T4 at 8.4. Vit d at 25(over 50 is optimal). B12/iron in range.

i was prescribed levo at 50mcg and felt awful since having them, low mood, irritated at the slightest.

i came across some old studies showing promising results with natural desiccated thyroid. i have not been able to source any as i would like to gove them a try as the thought of levothyroxine scares me. I have always been a lover of natrual and organic compound rather than anything synthetic.

i have also found that this has really altered my periods! Can anyone help source it for me in the uk?or suggestion so ,as id like to try desiccated thyroid at small doses and see how i feel.

i have a blood test coming up so will know more and a better roadmap with my gp. This time i will push for freet3 and other things that have popped up on my searches anti tpo anti tg..Gut health and stomach acid have been addressed. Many thanks

Its recommended to get fully optimised on Levothyroxine initially along with testing and supplemen ting key vitains to optimal which will help tremendously in how you feel.

Adding T3 to Levo or switching to NDT is really something to be tried once you have exhausted standard treatment avenues.

Do start a new post so that we can signpost you better with Levo treatment.

50mcgs is just a starter dose so you mainly need an increase at the moment.

As requested replies with any information by PM only as we are not allowed to name sources in the group. This post will be closed to further replies.

Scammers are joining the forum on a very regular basis and messaging members with their assertions that they have successfully purchased xyz medication from zyx source.

First, check the profile of the member that sent you the message. Are they a long term member with an active forum posting history? Or are they a recently

joined member with little or no posting history?

Once you have what you think may be a genuine recommendation, please message a forum admin to ask whether the admin team have any feedback on the source you've been given.

Admins are not allowed to recommend sources, but we can tell you what, if any, feedback we've received about the source you've been given.

⚠️ Don't part with your much needed money until you are as sure as you can be that the source is genuine.

Scammers often join the forum and post a 'fake' story about their thyroid journey, that includes mention of self sourcing their thyroid meds. This is to encourage members to ask them where they purchase their medication without prescription.
