I’m UAT and take 1 grain Armour Thyroid am and 3/4 pm with vitamin D, K2 , Mg and B Complex. I’m also on Oestrogel and Utrogestan. TSH is suppressed due to long term T3.

What is actually considered optimum levels for T4 and T3 - also vitamin D?

Consultant (private) reduced my AT dose by 1/4 grain earlier this year. Which has caused anxiety, sleep disturbances and weight gain. Thank you.

Optimal is individual.

what’s optimal for one is not the same for everyone.

Most say they feel well with FT4 in top 3rd of range & FT3 over 50%.

Some feel best with lower frees or are fine with very low FT4 provided FT3 is higher in range.

I take an antithyroid and seem ok anywhere near range but if the FT4 : FT3 are unbalanced I have issues.

Some of us are especially sensitive to adjustments & need extremely small adjustments over a longer time.
