Armour Thyroid

Hello, about to start on Thybon + levo having no benefits from levo alone or armour thyroid. Wondering about weight gain/loss and side effects of Thybon?

I take my Armour thyroid at night: 180 mg every other night and 135 mg on the other nights. I've got a blood test first thing Wednesday morning. Should I just skip the Tuesday night dose, or do you recommend something else? Tuesday would be a 135 mg dose for me. Thanks!

I’m currently using armour thyroid at 2 grains and feel bloody awful. Same old same old symptoms I get when I try to increase Levo or Levo/t3. My adrenals suffer. I know it’s adrenals because I’ve been doing this for almost 5 years now.

Hi,I have taken Armour Thyroid for 12 years as I was unwell on levo following thyroidectomy. I am seeing a new endo as have calcium problems which he thinks caused the difficulties post op & wants me to try Levo again. I am not opposed to this so tried in June & was dispensed Mercury Pharma.

I started taking Armour Thyroid two months ago at great cost via a private endo, hoping I would feel much better. But if anything, I feel worse. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar? Is it possible to be intolerant to Armour?!

Hi everyone, I’m on armour thyroid privately and just been prescribed T3 5mcg I think it is. My thyroid is much improved but my T3 could be a little higher but GP doesn’t want to increase the armour and push my T4 up any higher. I’m looking like a poorer converter.

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid at 21 and I've also got Hashimoto's. I recently changed from Levo/T3 to Armour, under the guidance of a lovely private endo, and I'm currently on three and a half grains per day, split into two doses. I wondered if anyone else has had side effects

s surgery as I had severe pains on Levothyroxine, this proved I had Inflammatory Arthritis, so I bought Armour Thyroid from the US as the only alternative at that time.

(My current doctor ) is willing to prescribe me Armour thyroid but my currently endocrinologist doesn’t know where in Uk which hospitals ( endocrine ) prescribes on NHS Armour thyroid . Is anyone from this group on NHS prescribed Armour thyroid and which hospital please ? Many many thanks !

I was reading the current prescribing information for Armour Thyroid (in the USA) and noticed this issue is actually addressed: [i]Changes in TBg concentration should be taken into consideration in the interpretation of[/i] [i]levothyroxine (T4) and liothyronine (T3) values.
