Advice regarding latest blood results please.

Morning all,

I upped my Levothyroxine approx. 9 weeks ago to 100mg per day (I had previously been taking 75mg & 100mg on alternate days), but kept Liothyronine at 3 x 10mg per day.

I did the blood test at 7am prior to eating or drinking anything, it had been 24 hours since my last Levothyroxine dose and 13 hours since my last Liothyronine dose.

I've received the following from BlueHorizon and they've flagged up my TSH, Cortisol and Vitamin B12 results:

TSH - <0.005

Range: 0.27 - 4.20mIU/L

Result on 10th March 21: <0.01 0.27 - 4.20mU/L

Total T4 - 75.3

Range: 66 - 181nmol/L

Free T4 - 14.3

Range: 12.0 - 22.0pmol/L

Result on 10th March 21: 11.9 11 - 25pmol/L

Free T3 - 5.94

Range: 3.1 - 6.8pmol/L

Result on 10th March 21: 4.7 3.1 - 6.8pmol/ L

Anti-Thyroidperoxidase abs - <9

Range: <34 kIU/L

Anti-Thyroglobulin Abs - 103

Range: <115 kIU/L

Vitamin D (25 OH) - 105

Range: 50 - 175 nmol/L

Vitamin B12 - 596

Range: 145 - 569 pmol/L

Serum Folate - 19.70

Range - 8.83 - 60.8 nmol/L

CRP - 0.47

Range: <5.0 mg/L

Ferritin - 80.1

Range: 13 - 150 ug/L

Magnesium - 0.93

Range: 0.7 - 1.0 mmol/L

Cortisol (Random) 608.0

Range: 6am - 10am 113 - 456 nmol/L

I'm tempted to increase my levothyroxine to 100mg & 125mg on alternate days as I'm still suffering from fatigue and constipation, although my general well-being has improved a lot since increasing to 100mg.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks!

Perhaps stay on current dose.....retest again in another 8 weeks

If Ft4 not gone up....look at increasing levothyroxine

I'd agree with your plan - free T4 is really low in range and you're only suggesting a very modest dose increase.

Thanks both, I appreciate your help 😊

Does anyone know why my Vit B12 might be high? Is it a common occurrence with hypothyroidism?
