I recently had a hysteroscopy at the day surgery unit and the doctors told me to stop taking my levothyroxine currently on 100mcg daily as they were worried I had thyrotoxicosis due to my suppressed TSH. When I returned from hospital, I continued to take my levo at the same level. I have been feeling slightly better but still continue to feel cold and am having to take daily laxatives as I my constipation has gone back to the levels it was at during my childhood.
I have absolutely no symptoms of thyrotoxicosis or hyperthyroidism and I would obviously be seriously concerned if I did.
I have a feeling the GP will attempt to reduce my dosage of levo and that is something I want to avoid at all costs.
I have had a letter from the endocrinologist and he is not concerned about my suppressed TSH, so why are the GP surgery panicking.
I don't see how they can diagnose me with thyrotoxicosis without testing my FT3 and if it's over range then maybe they have a case.
I know it's the same sob story, time after time but I'm almost at the end of my tether with it all and despite asking the surgery to re-check my B12, Vit D, folate and ferritin, they refused as they said it would be done annually and that's not until May 2021,that's if they even do it then.
I'm beginning to lose all faith in doctors as they seem to so sure they're right about this and quite frankly it feels like they are happy for me to continue to feel ill.
Any thoughts, advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

I am afraid it is a case of just sticking to your guns. After suffering severe Hashi attacks and levo levels being moved up and down I joined this site. My Tsh has been suppressed for at least 7 years.
About 4 years ago I was told by GP that TSH was too low, yet I wasn't feeling good because my T3 was low. I told them I didn't care about my TSH levels, that it was the T3 level that was important, as that is the active hormone needed by every cell in the body. I went on to say that I would no longer listen to threats about heart issues and osteoporosis. I wanted to live not just exist!!
I now get 15mcgm liothyronine and my T3 levels are near the top of the range. My Tsh is around 0.005 and T4 about 16 (12-22) I do have a life now.
Just be sure of your facts and if possible take a partner or understanding friend to GP or have next to you with phone call. Fortunately I am quite assertive (I didn't use to be) Good luck
Thanks for reply but as they didn't test my T3 levels, they can't diagnose thyrotoxicosis unless it's over range, which I would be gobsmacked if it is, the highest it's ever been was top of the range at 6.5( 3.5 - 6.5) in May 2020 when I had completely stopped taking Propranolol but unfortunately that caused other problems and had to go back on it at a much lower dose and come off very very gradually. My last blood test in January showed my T3 level at 5.7(3.6-6.4) but may have been affected by biotin in my vit b complex as only stopped it 4 days before and not 7. As I have no idea what my current T3 level is and neither do they,I am refusing to have my levo dose reduced as I'll end up feeling really ill again. A doctor is ringing me on 15th March regarding my test results and medication which is nearly two weeks away, so they're obviously not that concerned or they'd ring me sooner. I'm not very assertive and that may pose a problem but they need to make diagnoses based on symptoms and NOT blood test results.
Sorry for long post,it's just so frustrating and I need to vent.
Yes it is a problem if they won't listen to you but they need to be reminded it is your health and you have final say. It is meant be a partnership between GP and you or You and Endo, not a dictatorship! Good luck
