Please could anybody help with my bloods from 29th May 2020. I had to go back to Levothyroxine on 23rd February. I am a poor converter:
CRP 0.18 (range <5)
Ferritin 83.4 (range 13 - 150)
Folate - Serum > 19.8ug/L (range >3.89)
B12 Active >150 pmol/L (range >37.5 - 187.5)
Vitamin D 121 ((range 50 - 175)
TSH 1. 17 (range 0.27 - 4.2)
Free T3 3.76 (range 3.1 - 6.8)
T4 19.3 (range 12 - 22)
Tyroglobulin Antibodies 10.300 (range <115)
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies 83.8 (range <34)
Currently taking 114mcg Levo
For the past 8 weeks I have to have a nap during the day, I have gained weight even though my diet remains unchanged. Fatigue, and for the past 8 months I have a ringing in my right ear, to the point where I can't hear out of it! Very dry skin, keep having a lot of bowel movements for past 2 weeks.
Thank you to anyone who can help.

This is a normal result, in fact very good. As it's an inflammation marker then the lower the better.
Ferritin 83.4 (range 13 - 150)
This is just about right. Ferritin is recommended to be half way through range which would be 81.5
Folate - Serum > 19.8ug/L (range >3.89)
That's a good result.
B12 Active >150 pmol/L (range >37.5 - 187.5)
Obviously they can't measure higher than 150 so I would say your Active B12 is high enough for you to stop, or at least reduce, the amount of supplement you take and just maintaining your level between 100 and 150 would be enough.
Vitamin D 121 ((range 50 - 175)
The Vit D Council recommends a level of 125nmol/L and the Vit D Society recommends a level of 100-150nmol/L so your result is good.
TSH 1. 17 (range 0.27 - 4.2)
Free T3 3.76 (range 3.1 - 6.8)
T4 19.3 (range 12 - 22)
These show that your conversion is poor and that you should be back on your combination therapy.
It's low T3 that causes symptoms which is why you are experiencing
* the need to nap during the day
* weight gain
* fatigue
* dry skin
* ringing in ear (possibly)
The frequent bowel movements may be due to your Hashi's as you can have symptoms of both hypo and "hyper".
Why have you gone back to Levo only?
Tyroglobulin Antibodies 10.300 (range <115)
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies 83.8 (range <34)
These confirm your Hashi's which I expect you already know
Thank you for your response. I had to go back to Levo as I found that even after over a year on NDT it wasn't particularly great, and the cost was starting to get a bit pricey, plus all the other supplements and private blood tests, just too much! Somehow, I may just have to keep tweaking the Levo, live with the headaches just to have a bit more energy!! At the moment the GP is closed, I'm sure it's the same everywhere at the moment! It's a constant battle, trying to gauge how much b12 and iron without over doing things... eating liver once a week and taking x 2 lots of ferrous sulphate (200mg), I was taking x 3 of iron to get me to the mid range above! I don't know if this will keep me on an even keel! Thanks again for your help. X
