Have already received a lot of advice when I reacted badly to what you all considered was too high a dose too soon. After Lyn Mynot's survey of side effects to Teva Levo I examined my prescription and found it was Teva. I have had drug reactions before so decided to change brands and stop the Liothyronine whilst i tested if this eliminated any of the side effects I was getting. After ten days on just Levothyroxine 75 mcg daily I had a big reduction in some of my pain and tried to reintroduce T3 gradually as suggested After2 weeks on 5mcg daily Iwas tolerating it but my symptons of tiredness muscle weakness etc were no better. Raised the dose to 5mcg x 2 daily for 10 days after which I had a huge reaction with extreme pain in my pelvis and back. I have again stopped the T3 and t is slowly alleviating the pain. I have had some blood results taken 1 day after increasing T3 as follows:
CRPHS 0.97 (0-5)
Ferritin 55.2 (13-150)
Vitamins Folate Serum 6,07 (3.89-19.45)
B12 Active 104 (37.5-187.5)
Vit D 71.5 (50-175)
TSH 0.512 (0.27-4.2)
FT3 4.6 (3.1-6.8)
FT4 21.1 (12-22)
TG Antibodies 165 (0-115)
TPO Ab 341 (0-34)
I am on Morningside Liothyronine which does not have Mannitol in it but as I have had adverse reactions before I am pretty sure that is why I feel so bad now. What upsets me is that the very first dose of 20mcg that I took made me feel unrecognisably better for a few hours and seemed to hold out so much promise.I have paid attentions to my diet and eaten no gluten for the past 2 weeks. I was hardly consuming any any way.
