Mannitol

Are there any others I should avoid if I am sensitive to lactose, gluten, and mannitol? Thank you in advance.

Has anyone else experienced such a reaction with mannitol as an excipient?

Hi,Has anyone had reactions to the mannitol in Vitaris brand liothyronine?

I usually have Mercury Pharma or Morningside, I can’t take any with mannitol so that’s Sigmapharm and Viatris. My prescription has been with my pharmacy for over 2 weeks and they keep getting issued with Viatris and they can’t return them, apparently pharmacist had tried 6 suppliers.

I have been taking the Accord brand because I had problems with the ingredient mannitol. The pharmacy have said they can't get it and I need to find another brand. Anyone know of any?

Can anyone tell me if either are both FREE of Mannitol and Acacia so I can try one of them in the meantime.?

I also add 1/2 tsp/day of Mannitol in to my oat meal and coffee. I've read hundreds of CureParkinson's articles and have noticed that many supplements are recommended. None of my neurologists, including the current one, are interested in researching supplements.

Boots has been unable to get hold of it this month and their supplier is sending Viatris brand instead, which has mannitol that caused me serious problems in the past. It took me a long time to finally get the chance to have liothyronine and find a brand that suits me.

I then thought I'd take 2.5mcg instead of 5 at 8am because I may run out of T 3 because trying to get a new prescription without Mannitol and lactose....so thought I could eek it out...

I have just been given my mannitol test results of 31 percent reduction in fev1 after 35 mg. What does that indicate

Firstly I have a reaction to mannitol 🤦‍♀️ and when I was given the vitamin D tablets from gp they were ALLURA red, then I tried the brilliant blue, then the yellow ones, with the same gastric effects, I had to discontinued them.

I am sensitive to Mercury Pharma, TEVA, and also anything with Mannitol/Acacia in. Can one of the mods or anyone suggest a different brand please. I have been without since the weekend and am struggling thank you

I saw the concern about Teva adding mannitol to levothyroxine on this site 5 yrs ago. My new medication from Lloyds direct has been changed to Teva without being informed. I have also recently been informed I have ibs. I am not prepared to accept E-numbers or risk being ill due to the change.

Can anyone tell me whether this brand contains Mannitol/Acacia as those ingredients made me very ill with other brands. I did download a copy of a document from this site that lists certain ingredients in certain brands but I can't find it anyone else's experience on this brand please>

The brand name is Euthyrox ( the version which has mannitol and citric acid instead of lactose). This is my thyroid test results after 14 months of no tests at all due to lack of medical insurance. I was fasting and did not take my morning dose before the test.

Many suspect it is the mannitol content of Teva levothyroxine that lies behind the intolerance. After all, there were also many complaints around the world as Merck have slowly move from lactose to mannitol in their levothyroxine. And certainly sorbitol is well-known to cause problems.
