Experiences with

Mannitol

Are there any others I should avoid if I am sensitive to lactose, gluten, and mannitol? Thank you in advance.

Could anyone kindly advise which brands do not include both of the above? I’ve tried going through the files but am feeling pretty rubbish so can’t find what I’m looking for…sorry if it’s a bit of a dumb question! Thanks GTS🦭

They're much larger than what I'm used to, so did a quick Google and found the main difference is that Wockhardt contains lactose and Teva contains mannitol.

Has anyone else experienced such a reaction with mannitol as an excipient?

I know mannitol is a big one and interestingly looking back at the last year I feel like things worsened further when I was switched to this and I def had more gut issues. But maybe this was just cos the dose was higher and the higher the dose the worse I struggle with side effects.

Hi,Has anyone had reactions to the mannitol in Vitaris brand liothyronine?

I usually have Mercury Pharma or Morningside, I can’t take any with mannitol so that’s Sigmapharm and Viatris. My prescription has been with my pharmacy for over 2 weeks and they keep getting issued with Viatris and they can’t return them, apparently pharmacist had tried 6 suppliers.

Both of which are lactose-free.) 2️⃣ Second, Teva’s only unique excipient is mannitol (E421) so it is natural to suspect that could be a cause.

I also add 1/2 tsp/day of Mannitol in to my oat meal and coffee. I've read hundreds of CureParkinson's articles and have noticed that many supplements are recommended. None of my neurologists, including the current one, are interested in researching supplements.

I’ve tried hard to explain it is either the lactose or the mannitol etc etc but unfortunately I feel I am just branded a Prima Donna or something who is asking and to be nothing short of awkward. I would be so grateful for any advice that can be printed off and given to them.

I have been taking the Accord brand because I had problems with the ingredient mannitol. The pharmacy have said they can't get it and I need to find another brand. Anyone know of any?

Can anyone tell me if either are both FREE of Mannitol and Acacia so I can try one of them in the meantime.?

I then thought I'd take 2.5mcg instead of 5 at 8am because I may run out of T 3 because trying to get a new prescription without Mannitol and lactose....so thought I could eek it out...

Boots has been unable to get hold of it this month and their supplier is sending Viatris brand instead, which has mannitol that caused me serious problems in the past. It took me a long time to finally get the chance to have liothyronine and find a brand that suits me.

I have just been given my mannitol test results of 31 percent reduction in fev1 after 35 mg. What does that indicate

Firstly I have a reaction to mannitol 🤦‍♀️ and when I was given the vitamin D tablets from gp they were ALLURA red, then I tried the brilliant blue, then the yellow ones, with the same gastric effects, I had to discontinued them.
