Can underactive thyroid give PMS symptoms.

At 55 yrs of age I suspect that my 3 months of missing periods are probably my body's way of letting me know I'm going through the change. However question I have is . Could the pains in my lower stomach be related to thyroid medication . I currently take 100mcg of the levothyroxine and 20 mcg of Liothyroine daily and last blood tests were taken 1st October. TSH 0.29. T4 Total 117. Free T4 20.2 (12 -22) Free T3 5.10 (3.1 -6.8) Antithyroidperoxidase 75 ( range less than 34) Anthyroglobulin 43 (range less than 115) CRP is high at 10.57 (range suggests less than 5)

I've also started taking supplements of betaine and pepsin, selenium and vitamin b12.

Any help would be appreciated .

Did the abdominal pain start before you started taking betaine and pepsin? I can’t take them because they give me awful stomach pains. However if the paid were there before maybe you’re right and you need to see your GP. 😀
