hello forum friends I’ve just bought some cytoplan betaine and pepsin. My thinking is to raise my stomach acid to help my body better absorb nutrients. I’m just wondering have any of you tried this, and has it helped? Thanks 💜

the betaine pepsin will show up tomorrow I ordered so I'm eager to try it. I do snack a lot so I'm not sure if I take anything during snacks. thank you Rosina

This is the strange bit - when I try taking betaine HCL & pepsin in usual way I get awful discomfort, I even emptied half capsule out. Does anyone know a reason for this? I do not have reflux, wind etc, am I odd🙃. Thanks!

I use British Supplements Ltd for triple magnesium x 2, Vit D 3 with K2 x 1, B12 x 1, Omega 3 algae based x 2, Ingennus B complex x 1, Maxmedix selenium x 1 plus Raw powders-betaine HCL(I don't have pepsin in stomach this helps👍) been feeling so much better since starting these thanks to this forum

Especially taking Betaine and Pepsin for low stomach acid and suddenly I have more energy and more tolerance to activity. I also started supplementing vitamin D in November, which went from 19.6 (20-100ng/mL) to 33.5.

The report also showed, amongst lots of other interesting things which I am still taking in, that my body NEEDS the betaine and pepsin, and B6 which I have been taking.

March-April I worked on gut health, started taking Betaine and pepsin for low stomach acid and the change was amazing, I was feeling great. At the start of May I had a virus and everything came tumbling down.

Corrected Achlorhydria to within range with Betaine/Pepsin and Enzymes when gut inflammation permits, but this leg weakness is similar to past on off experience but this has kicked in after yet another food reaction, and hives from potatoes.

I know I have low stomach acid because of an under active thyroid Have just ordered some Betaine Hydrochloride with pepsin tablets from Natures Best but wonder if I can take them with an anticoagulant Any ideas?

I even switched to alklaine water to try and get rid of pepsin but thats not worked either. Digestive enzymes, ginger shots, tumeric tea. The only slight relief I ever get is if I suck ice cubes which makes my throat feel clear again but the minute I stop sucking ice cubes, it comes back.

I thought I would try some Betaine HCI with pepsin as that is quite often recommended. I asked my naturopath to recommend one but she suggested that I eat more mindfully ( chewing my food slowly, eating at a table etc ) but I've tried that and it's made no difference.

Does pepcid AC make RLS worse? Almost 38 weeks pregnant having horrible acid reflux. Intestines feel like they're on fire for hours leading to a giant throw up. Stomach acid still low according to the bicarb test - betaine and pepsin didn't seem to do much. Also, my folate results now come back as just >20, not a specific numberr. I've been taking extra high dose methylfolate as it had been very low. Should I stop this now?

About 3 months ago I added methylcobalamin and B Complex liquid as well as zinc, magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin D and K and gentle iron as well as Betaine and Pepsin.
