Thyroid and Cortisol results - Turkish Baths ?!

Sorry for the weird headline!!

I recently posted my results below but I have added my Cortisol results also so am interested and grateful for thoughts on those-

I generally wake up about 4am and don’t sleep great after that but my body temp is wrong and I feel drained, I then perk up a bit in the day but then some days I feel rubbish all day - so up and down.

On Sunday I am going to visit The Turkish Baths with friends which obviously consists of going into v hot rooms followed by ice cold baths - I’m worried how this might affect me or if I’m over thinking this ?

I am seeing an Endocrinologist on the 29th of this month so not long to go now - hopefully get some answers and FREE tests!!!

Since results below have upped levo to 100mcg per day... also taking 6000 - 10,000 D3 with K2 and magnesium also iron tablets Solgar gentle iron, 2 a day (when I remember!)

Your cortisol levels are quite low, hopefully the Endo will run a short synacthen test to see how your adrenal glands are responding. I have adrenal insufficiency & find that if I go for a sauna then my cortisol levels drop making me feel quite ill. Hot both an & then ice cold ones will be very stressful on the body & have huge impact on your cortisol levels.

Thankyou.... I think I’ll stick to warm and cool, there’s a warm relaxation room so maybe I’ll set up in there with my thyroid book!! 😉

I felt a bit dizzy the last time I visited the Turkish Baths in Harrogate, due to the extreme changes in temperature, so do take it easy and just chill out in the more temperate rooms!

Thanks..., I’ll take it easy....which I guess is generally the idea of the day lol - I visited 2 yrs ago before diagnosis but looking back I was hypothyroid then...I was jumping into the ice pool and into the hottest room - felt great afterwards!!

I’ll just won’t do the extremes x
