Just wondered if anyone could advise what these results actually mean and what I should do...., I have a Cortisol blood test 9am at my Drs on the 5th March
Following the results below I increased my medication and am now on 100/75mcg levo alternate days. I’m also taking iron supplements.
Thankyou

Cortisol follows the normal "curve", just very slightly low. DHEA is within the reference interval but towards the lower end.
You could Google "phase 1 adrenal gland dysfunction" and see what comes up.
You may only need adrenal support in the form of plenty of Vit C and a B Complex - not diagnosing or "prescribing" here, it's just that Vit C and the Bs are good adrenal support.
Your serum is is 58% through range so that's just about right for a female.
TIBC is high in range.
Salturation % is just shy of the 35%-45%
As you're already taking iron supplements, I would also try to help raise your ferritin level by eating liver regularly, maximum 200g per week due to it's high Vit A content, also liver pate, black pudding, and including lots of iron rich foods in your diet
Thanks...., I have lost a stone in weight and have this weird tingling feeling under my skin..., I thought it might be due to my adrenals..., hopefully my increase in my levo and the supplements might get rid of the last symptoms.... I can’t eat liver but am trying to be mindful of eating more food to increase my iron, I guess i’ll see where I am in a few weeks
If TIBC is high does that mean heading in the direction of anaemia?....hopefully the iron supplements will sort that out 🤞
High in range TIBC suggests iron supplementation is needed. I don't know if it is suggestive of possible anaemia. To know if you have iron deficiency anaemia you need a full blood count done and if MCV is low that can suggest it.
I am on strictly gluten free since I was diagnosed and have just started taking the 1000mg Vit C tablets that dissolve in water....I actually put 2 in the other day as my daughter wanted to share and had a bad reaction - my face went very hot and bright red!!!..., won’t do that again!!
