Crazy situation - it’s almost impossible to gauge whether you’re on enough Levo with just TSH results.

Hey ho. Your Vit D is well below where it should be - do you supplement with Vit D at all? You might be surprised how much better you feel with an optimal Vit D level. It affects far more than many realise - especially doctors, it seems.

Have been taking Vit D but miss doses a fair bit as we have just finished summer so did not take then as sat in garden everyday.

I had been taking Eltroxine and this result is from approx 9 months of. My Endo today said back onto levothyroxine 125mcg as he thinks my TSH is to high for me.

Some of us can’t make much Vitamin D no matter how much sitting in the sun we do. And between September and March in the U.K., the sun’s rays aren’t strong enough for our bodies to make Vitamin D. And even during the summer, you need to expose quite a lot of skin - without sunblock - for a short period each day.

With your levels I’d definitely supplement for a while.

Yes I agree 100%. I have written this story before: I live in California and spend most of my time in shorts, T-shirt and no hat, I also take a vitamin D supplement. I recently (well, about a year ago) had a Vit. D test amongst some other regular blood tests and my result was a little below middling. I asked my doc how on earth could this be? He suggested the test could be faulty - Oh great, so maybe we can't rely on any of the results. Even if the machine was just a little bit out, below middling is still pretty inaccurate.

crazy stuff, i would try a supplement for a while if i feel worse i stop taking if i see improvements i carry on.

People error inputting wrong numbers or actual faulty test?

I know i should not make jest but perhaps its like there appointment system one problem per appointment..... and one disease per customer. If you have thyroid you are not allowed anymore. Sorry hope not to offend but i got out the house today first time in weeks and im feeling a little... well .... amused.

Well, the whole system is a joke, so we may as well laugh. :(
