Hashimotos blood results and NDT help

We have always had help and support from Jackie (Clutter) but I see she unfortunately is no longer admin..

Can anyone please help...? This is the msg I had sent to her yesterday..

We finally, finally have a diagnosis for Tony!

We went private here in Tenerife, much cheaper than the UK...

Within two weeks of joining the private medical centre he’d had fully comprehensive blood tests, an ultrasound and an appointment with the endocrinologist.

He has Hashimotos disease........

We are so happy to finally have a proper diagnosis and proper treatment from the doctors but the only problem is they’ve put him back on synthroid levothyroxine.....

He’s gone back to feeling very giddy, having insomnia and he’s lost even more weight....

He took his NDT tablets (Nature-Thyroid)to show the endo, she said ultimately it’s up to you what you take but she said she would prefer he carries on with the synthroid levothyroxine for another 3 months upping the dose to 88mg, he’s been taking 75mg for nearly 2 months now..

When he first saw the GP, when the blood results were back, she said stop taking the NDT and take nothing for the next week until you see the

endocrinologist then I started taking the 75mg synthroid

He was told on Saturday to start taking 100mg iron tablets so he has started taking them..

Can you please help and advise?

We really want tony off the synthroid and back on NDT... what do you think?
