I was worried about interactions with my Synthroid medication. The doctor seem to think it would not be a problem. So I started taking the trazodone at 9:00 p.m. with just a piece of fruit like a kiwi, then waiting about an hour and a half, taking my Synthroid before bedtime at 10:30.

could taking synthroid at same time with Xanax reduce or alter absorption of synthroid. If so, what is recommended times to take apart?

My endo won’t increase my Synthroid dose of 50 mcg, can’t change endocrinologist at present! Thanks

I am on 50 mcg of synthroid. Endo doesn’t think hair loss is due to thyroid.. Anyone else have hair loss issues?

Synthroid does have a small effect on bone density, but small. I like to go with "brand" drugs since the generics are mostly made in India and don't have the right patent formula and synthroid has been around for a long time.

i requested endo to increase my synthroid dose by 12.5 mcg 3 days a week since i weigh 108lbs & only on 50 mcg, she says labs r normal, won’t increase dose, so annoying!

Total thyroidectomy 2003 Use brand name Synthroid 100 / 112 mg alternate daily Primary Dr doesn’t test more than TSH This time demanded more & the results below and had been 24 hours since last dose of Synthroid .

Anyhow dr says I can lower synthroid as I wish.. so how much do I need to lower it and what would cause this? Thanks so very much

hi, currently on Synthroid 75mcg Mon-Sat and 100mcg Sunday. Felt slight better about 30-40% not that tired tinittus slight faint. Would be possible to increase my dose to 75mcg Mon- Fri and 100mcg Sat/Sun. Please advise i want to get back around 80% of my life.

Does anyone take synthroid or other types of thyroid. If so any success. Thank you.

I am confused about synthroid and armour equivalencies. Apparently 60 mg or one grain of armor is equivalent to 100 mcg of Synthroid, yet it’s also true that one grain of armour contains only 38 mcg of T4 and 9 mcg of T3. . How can it be equivalent to 100?

Please believe me, this is not something random, it only happened when stopping synthroid then restarting and becoming overmedicated.

I am on synthroid for so many years I’m not sure if it’s working right or not. I’ve lost unintentionally lost a lot weight, I have muscle weakness, soft nails, and a hard time sleeping.

I’m now on 125mcg of Synthroid. Is there any chance of slowly reducing down and going natural again? T4 has killed my libido due to the increase in SHBG causing low free testosterone.

I am currently on Synthroid (75cmg Mon- Sat ) (100mcg Sun) . Thats my GP advise me to take. My ferritin and B12 are normal. And my Folate is 45.4 which is slightly high normal is (5.0 -45).My previous levothyroxine dose was 75 mcg daily .

I felt 'better' on Synthroid and will ask her about all this next week at follow up. I had been on 100mcg of Synthroid, but was told that since Tirosint might be more potent because of cleaner formulation, my Rx was for 88mcg Tirosint-SOL.

Also on Synthroid. Does anyone know how soon I should recheck thyroid levels after making the change. I know that oral EEMT can affect thyroid levels. I am feeling so much more fatigued .
