• NDT 1.5 grains a day, bought on internet via US including postage and packing and customs and PO handling charges c£500 a year

• T3 12.5 – 25 mcg a day do I include the cost of my Greek holiday or not? Let’s say not so c£20

• B12, B complex, Glucosamine, Ginger root, Ester vitamin C, Vitamin E, D3 & K2, a few others I can’t remember right now c£500 per year

• Blood tests twice a year including essential vitamin tests, purchased via BH or Medichecks and covertly drawn to coincide with nhs bloods c£160

• 2 human hair pieces once every eighteen months @ £1000 a pop plus a few new bamboo viscose turbans every year c£1500

• Cherry Active Montmorency cherry juice; a large bottle a month, plus inulin to put in it with hot water to make a bedtime tisane £360...my £1 a day sleep miracle

• Voltarol/Magnesium oil spray/gel c£200...greased joints for less than 60pence a day

• £10 a month to Thyroid UK...bargain.

That’s without really thinking about it. £3360 a year to manage thyroid disease. This is expensive sh*t, no?

This is why I don't want to add up what I have spent in the last 2.5 years since I started testing, supplementing, buying T3, etc. Thankfully I don't have to buy wigs or hair pieces, I have been saved from that.

Oh, what wouldm't we give for thyroid disease to be properly understood by our doctors, and properly managed :(

I've stopped counting all the £££ I have spent on medication, supplements, probiotics, drs etc etc 😣 No one would believe me if I told them (except for you fellow thyroid warriors!!). I'd possibly have a pension and savings in the bank if I wasn't continually trying to get well!
