We've also tried lactulose, inulin and Docusol, as he has an intolerance to strange flavours, he refused the latter two! Doc refuses to prescribe a stimulant because of his age! Because of his condition, he isn't good with communicating, so toilet training at the moment is a complete no no!

I have been taking inulin on my breakfast which is supposed to help bowel movement as it increases fibre intake. I'm very stressed at the moment waiting for my scan results and I've got an appointment to see a cardiologist on Sun 23rd Feb!

For instance, did anyone who incorporated agave inulin into their stack find it lessened their anxiety?  Research on the microbiome in PD just can't come fast enough! I suspect one day there will be pre/probiotics tailored to individual symptoms like this.

I started following a low fat diet, and with fodmap found too much fibre and foods high in inulin a problem, but again avoiding these seemed to help things, up until 2 years ago.

Could you tell me if you take food supplements of alpha lactoslbumin and inulin and fructo oligosaccharides with lactobaccillus plantarum PS128? Together? What dosage and at what time of day? Tell me about your experience thank you!

With reference to the Helsinki Study’s claim that desulfovibrio is a potential cause of PD, I read that agave inulin (already part of my regimen) can reduce the levels of desulfovibrio. I also read that glycomacropeptides also help. How do we get glycomacropeptides?

You need Soluable fibre oats and inulin are my essential. I make breakfast muffins with both. Inulin is chicory root and is very sweet.

Edit 08/30/24: I took and a Probiotic less than a month. I quit mainly because of sleep problems Today I took: - 2 scoops of Inulin and a Probiotic first thing in the morning. My whole body felt tingly for 45 minutes.

This brings me to a new study (April, 2024) that used a combination of 6 probiotics and prebiotic (Inulin) in combination, but the prebiotic alone consisted of 5 grams (5000 mg) of Inulin prebiotic.

Thanks to chartist for sharing the research that 6 strains (L. acidophilus, L. fermentum, L. plantarum, B. longum, B. lactis, S. boulardii) along with 5 grams of Inulin FOS significantly increased SCFA. This may be beneficial by indirect action.

I, for one, hereby declare I am not buying any Inulin and a Probiotic, Urolithin A, and Spermidine. I’ll wait for to see if there becomes a large following on the forum, first.
