As of today we have managed to negotiate lower rates with our labs on certain profiles. This has meant that we have been able to pass on these savings to you! This is due to gaining a large corporate contract which has given us greater buying power.
Best of Blue Horizon Range.
So, the Advanced Thyroid Profile which was around £118 is now known as the "Thyroid Check PLUS SIX" and is available at £89 (or £79 with the TUK10 code). TSH, FT4, FT3, TT4, Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies and Thyroglobulin antibodies.
We have added another called the "Thyroid Check PLUS TEN" - this has the six tests as above but also includes Ferritin, Folate, Vitamin B12, and C Reactive Protein. This is only £10 more. (So £99, or just £89 with TUK10 code)
Feel free to give us a call or email us if you need to know more, apologies about photo below, we are still waiting for a picture of Georgie so you'll have to make do with Poppy the office dog!

I myself, and I am sure many other members will find these comprehensive tests competitively priced and very easy to complete. Thank you for this service.
I wish we had something like this in Finland, £89 compared to 500 euros with waiting time from 3 to 12 weeks is sort of not so much fun and with that price you don't even get vitamins etc tested.
I'm not sure about the Finnish rules on the export of biological substances though, I think DHL are ok, as long as you are transporting less than half a pint!!!
Let me scratch my head and find the european blood export chart on one of the computers.
Hi, that's great. I've just had the comprehensive test done (thyroid, sex hormones, cortisol). I could really have done with the RT3 too, typically. I understand that this should be done with the FT3 so as to work out the ratio. Is it possible to have these two tests done and how much would it be please?
RT3 does have special requirements - you had best email our team - assistance@bluehorizonmedicals.co.uk with your order details and we'll look into it for you. You may have to test again for your RT3 regrettably,
Do you know if there are places in Northern Ireland where you can have the blood samples taken - if not it would be very helpful if you could source some as I know a lot more people would be able to have tests which they cannot do at the moment. My gp does not and will not allow these tests to be taken at the surgery.
There are a few private hospitals in Belfast that you could try - i've been on the phone for about 5 minutes on hold but if you have more time than me you just need to tell them you require phlebotomy and you'll have the kit. You also need to tell them that you have a postal envelope that you'll be sending to the lab in Londonj once ther blood has drawn. All thay need to do is extract the blood!
The other alternative is the fingerprick kits - worth a go and a full refund if you're not a good bleeder!!!
For Private Thyroid Testing both options are viable.
Thank you for your reply Paul - do you have the name of the hospital? Had considered trying the fingerprick kit but had been worried I wouldn't be able to draw enough. If this happens can I order the other kit at no extra cost?
