Are these results normal?

Hello

I wonder if someone can tell me if these Medichecks results look ok? They are for my son who is 40 yrs old and struggling with fatigue and weight gain, particularly around his middle, despite managing to exercise twice a week and eating healthily. I wondered if he might be following in my footsteps and heading towards thyroid disease? He has been to GP who obviously did TFT/TSH only. He does struggle with some gut issues too. Any observations either way would be very helpful.

Thank you x

These numbers look very good. Have they checked for diabetes? When you say exercise twice a week I assume you mean some sort of strenous exercise, I would expect normal exercise such as walking or physical work each day.

For someone not on thyroid treatment they look ok but folate could be high and I would get a Vit D test as well. Folate ferritin Vit D and B12 all help the Thyroid work better so they will certainly help his general health.

He could try going completely gluten free for a month and see whether his health and energy levels improve.
