Low B12 or thyroid

I have been feeling so tired and lethargic lately and asked for a another blood test. I was diagnosed as hypothyroid about 6 years ago taking 125 Levo. In the past year I have twice been given B12 injections as my blood results were low. The first time 4 injections in two weeks, the last time (about 3 months ago) just a top up. I have just been given the readings which are:

B12 - 267

TSH - 168

T4 - 15.2

T3 - 4.3

The receptionist said no action required, all normal.

I had my kidney removed 5 years ago due to a large malignant tumour - my adrenal gland too. So far (fingers crossed) there has been no recurrence. I am 71 years old.

I would be grateful for any thoughts.

RoniB Have you got the reference ranges for your thyroid results, it's not possible to interpret results without them as ranges vary from lab to lab. And can you check your TSH, I doubt it's 168, is it 1.68?

You might want to check with the Pernicious Anaemia Society forum about your B12. I always thought that you had 6 X injections over 2 weeks then 1 injection every 3 months thereafter healthunlocked.com/pasoc

I'm pretty sure she just read out the results wrongly. It wouldn't be the first time!!! I'm going to gather as much information as I can and then make an appointment to see the doctor. They don't call you for followup checks on anything, they leave it to you to ask when you think they are (long) overdue.
