Well, today I went to the Dr and my kidneys are fine!! My liver results aren't in yet so we got onto my thyroid and why it is stoking my Afib. Asked for a printout of my last results, although they could be seen on screen nobody could print a whole sheet off!! However these are the few they could manage from February.
TSH 0.79 (0.35-5) retested 21/9 0.06 (0.35-5)
Free T4 17.1 (7-20)
Poor girl got a bit antsy when I said I wanted to see endocrinologist but offered a full fasting thyroid test plus B12, D3, Ferritin and Folate!! Can have that 4/9!
Only thing they could print off😱 Please, are these good bad or indifferent?
Your thyroid results look alright for someone with a thyroid condition taking levothyroxine but without the FT3 you haven't got the full picture. Also, do you have autoimmune thyroid antibodies? They would be listed as TPO and TgAb or thyroid peroxidase antibodies and Thyroglobulin antibodies. You need to find out if you don't already know.
If there is an exclamation mark against a result it usually means it's outside of normal range but without seeing the document I can't be entirely sure. Was it a TSH result?
From 2015 all surgeries had to make blood test results available online to patients so your surgery have had 2 years to organise it.
Hi HYLDA The ! against the result just indicates that is below the minimum of their range. On any blood results the ! Indicates results are either above or below the reference range for the laboratory that it was tested at. Hope that helps.
Really without FT3 and antibodies tested as said above it's not the full picture.if surgery just won't test them the only thing to do is get them done privately if you want to have that information. If FT3 is within range at a good level, and depending on antibody test it could be that an increase in levo, or adding T3 could help greatly but without all the info it's difficult for you to know what to try. Though even with the full picture it can be a bit hit and miss and a bit drawn out to get to where you feel good, but it is possible to do.those tests are probably the best place to start along with those that GP says she will do.
Ask your surgery for enhanced access. You might have to get the doctor or nurse to sign a form.

Well, can't see results on line but no FT3 or antibodies there anyway they say at the surgery. Wonder what they have been doing with my "armful of blood".
