Hi I have results of ferritin, vitamin D, folate, B12 and complete blood count. I have had iron deficiency corrected in 2015 with iron infusion but ferritin has gone down by 100 points since then. Vitamin B12 I haven't supplemented so why it is so high in its range I don't know. Folate I have been supplementing for a month. Complete blood count...exclamation points by 3 levels, I have quite a few symptoms, really don't know what is going on. Google is bringing up polycythemia vera and I am under a haematologist so should I be bringing up my concerns with him or am I going nuts please?

Thank you

Reba119,

Vitamin D is deficient. My GP prescribed 40,000iu D3 x 14 days followed by 2,000iu daily x 8 weeks which raised my vitD from <10 to 107. You can buy vitamin D3 over the counter without prescription if you prefer.

Ferritin, Folate and B12 are good.

labtestsonline.org/understa... will advise what the high red blood cell evaluations may mean. The rest of the results are within normal range.

B12 levels will vary - B12 is also stored in the liver in good quantities. and your results are in range.
