Zovirax

Well I got an answer from my haematologist saying that I did well stopping the pills during therapy and I must start again 10 days after ending the Zovirax (antiviral ) therapy. But my advice to all is do the vaccine! It is a terrible, disabling, painful condition that comes out of the blue!

Apart from a runny nose with chemotherapy (Carboplatin/Pemetrexed) I'm also getting sores that are very similar to cold sores - tried betnovate cream, but not much good, then tried Zovirax which is better, but doesn't clear them and still forms scabs that bleed. It can be very sore and painful.

I have been using cold sore cream also Zovirax and witch hazel. I am also using Mometasone Furoate, l am always hoarse. I am on Warfarin number 5 daily for AF. and Desloratadine because l had Lupus blisters on my back, still on them for the itch.

Shingrix is not available in SA only Zovirax. As a CLL sufferer who has had one session of Shingles has anyone been able to obtain Shingrix in South Africa??

I’ve got a patch of blisters on my nose ..saw doc on Xmas eve prescribed antibiotics but didn’t pick up that I haveSLE ..I’m also using Zovirax but isn’t helping ...any advice please ?

I’ve been told by the doctor genital herpes, however I’m not convinced as I’m on Zovirax cream and Valtrex tablets at the moment, but they don’t seem to be helping me. They itch but don’t hurt Thank you!

I’ve been at the doctor last week who has diagnosed me with genital herpes and given me Zovirax cream. I’ve been using this for around 1 week and so far there is no sign of them clearing. Does anyone have advice as to how I can speed up the process of them healing?

I am using Zovirax but could do with something stronger.

Take painkillers and zovirax . Have been occurring for past 6 years . Wondering what brings it on. Diagnosed pbc -aih 9 years go

Yesterday woke up with a massive cold sore so out came the zovirax, then this morning my left eye is so sore and weepy that I think I now have conjunctivitis! Feeling like pants at the moment. Any advice from anybody would be greatly appreciated.

The main infection was treated with Zovirax but 6 weeks later I am still suffering! My own Dr said it was some form of Shingles and now it has continued into Postherpetic Neuralgia...and again NOT NICE.

Doctor got the viral swab result after 2 days of taking Zovirax syroup and rang me to stop taking it. Two days later, after taking only 2tablets of antibiotics, as I felt they will make all worse, I rang my doctor and asked for antifungal med.

On 5 Dec I started tables Zovirax 800mg X 3 daily because I got shingles rash om my forhead, been stuck in bed the last week with influensa, just wondered if anyone knows if this be due to a Lupus flare IM so tired and have loads to do before Santa comes down the chimney.

They'd nearly healed when the cold sore got going...was too tired to go out for Zovirax (I haven't had a cold sore in years...so none in the house).

Any way, following a good dose of Zovirax Oral and eye ointment it rescinded after about a week or so and left me with the usual crusted skin craters and sores which are in the process of healing correctly now. BUT.... (You knew that was coming right?)

I often get cold sores on lips and in nose (I use Zovirax), and occasionally get ulcers on tongue and inside of mouth (bongela). Not sure what I can use this though???

I've tried using Zovirax in the past for cold sores but after applying it, it made my lip bleed and so it put me off using it again. :( Also I came over feeling very sick (almost to the point of throwing up) and sleepy yesterday, so I went for a lie-down in bed.
