I’ve been told by the doctor genital herpes, however I’m not convinced as I’m on Zovirax cream and Valtrex tablets at the moment, but they don’t seem to be helping me.

They itch but don’t hurt

Herpes needs to be diagnosed via blood tests not just by eyes, what I am seeing is irritation due to razor after shaving the balls .

It needs to be diagnosed by a blood test and potentially a swab HSV1 or HSV2. Get a second, third and fourth opinion. I was misdiagnosed and treated with Valtrex also, however my GP thought it was HSV1 but on the head of my penis. Its been a long journey and an ongoing bacterial skin condition. I've seen so many doctors, dermos and sexual health doctors I've lost count. Try some antifungal or steroid cream and see if it responds in a positive way.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I plan on getting a second opinion in the next few days if it hasn’t cleared. Can I ask if you’re now better?

I am much better than ever before, but not 100%. I have spent a lot of money medications and private dermatologists. I really think i need a circumcision to allow my glands to dry out and be fully exposed to the air.
