Well I got an answer from my haematologist saying that I did well stopping the pills during therapy and I must start again 10 days after ending the Zovirax (antiviral ) therapy. But my advice to all is do the vaccine! It is a terrible, disabling, painful condition that comes out of the blue! I know I will as soon as possible to prevent reappearance! Thank you for your answers.

Thanks for the update. The Shingrix vaccine is on my to-do list.
Agree, I got it a couple years ago.
If Rux is even maybe in your future, that's a double do as it's the most common infection condition risk on Rux.
I never expected to be on Rux till IFN blew up on me.
In Wales I asked my wife's GP in November if they could arrange to give her the vaccine as it was coming up to a year since she had shingles. Oh yes they said, as soon as we get some we'll contact you. Three months later, it was refused as my wife isn't 70 years old ! I despair at the state of the morals of the GP service in Wales.
