T3 Dosage
My friend had a complete thyroidectomy 10 years ago. Since that time she has been on 200 mg of Levothyroxine. She continued to have debilitating symptoms such as weight gain and low energy levels so she researched the T3 route and decided that she wanted to try it. When I asked her about her dosage

Supplement timing
I currently take all sorts of supplements, but reading up on some I’m not sure if I’m taking them correctly. There’s loads of posts about what to take and differing views on how and when. Sorry but I’m really confused and want to know I’m doing the right thing otherwise it’s a waste of time and money

Interleukin-6 and PMR/GCA
A few days ago I responded to a post in which members were questioning if statins had caused PMR. I have received messages asking for more information about my comments. In response to these questions I have written the following which I hope will be of interest and help. I am a retired clinical Pharmacist

How Long before you noticed improvements on new dose?
Hey guys just curious to know typically how long before people who have had their doses increased or reduced noticed a change in their well being. It's been just over 2 weeks since my Levo was increased and I have to say I feel so much better already. My hair loss is slowing down and my weight has stablised

Advice re latest bloods.
Please can someone interpret my latest private blood results. These were taken early morning having not taken levo for 24 hr previously. I am currently on 75mg levo and awaiting an NHS Endo referral. Gluten and dairy free. Supplementing all B vitamins, folate, zinc, magnesium, Vitamin C. Despite this

Is Metavive safe to take?
Hi all, I've never been diagnosed with a thyroid condition but I posted on this forum early last year as I believed I did have a sluggish thyroid, I had all the symptoms. Anyway, it turned out that I had iron and folic acid deficiency anaemia, with very low ferritin and low (but 'normal') B12. I also

Best Magnesium?
Ok...tapping the hive mind! Would be grateful for people's thoughts and recommendations regarding magnesium supplements. Doseage (minimum and maximum). Brands. Type of magnesium (this is blowing my mind in particular. The different types of magnesium like citrate, l-threonate, glycinate, ionic!). Things

The good news is....
Hi everyone, The good news is my TPO antibodies have reduced from 338 (000-34) to 28 (yipee, within range!) and my Thyroglobin antibodies have reduced from 2,784 (0.00-115.00) to 700.
