Hope everyone is okay, does anyone get leg pain when they are on a period? I have pain in my left leg down the bottom of the leg, i have been checked over before last year with this pain as i had a blood clot in my lung in 2020 ( from taking combined pill to help with endo pain) so I'm more likely to get another blood clot but my leg is not red or swollen- so annoying all these symptoms of endo! x

HiSo sorry you have got this pain! I have not been fully diagnosed with endo yet as I’m waiting for a gyno appointment, but they found I have got an 8cm cyst in my uterus that is likely to be endo related, however I get similar pain to what your describing too! My pain is mostly on my left side and then I get these like shooting/ sharp like pains down my leg! Hopefully you haven’t got a blood clot and is just endo related, but definitely keep an eye on it though and if the pain gets worse contact GP ❤️
i get what you mean as the symptoms are so random at times and I never know what sort of pain I get the next day!
Hey no problem at all, it is horrible, I honestly feel for everyone that goes through this sort of pain 😢, and you are so right that it is like Russian roulette! I have noticed that it is definitely testing my anxiety/depression at times as well.
Ahh ok hopefully it is just period, did she prescribe you with anything stronger to take or not?
If you are still not right definitely chase them up again though, because from my experience I found that my gp wasn’t taking me seriously at first and they said a similar thing to you that I’ve just got a bad period, but it’s like I know my body and I am telling you this is a new symptom to me and you would think they would double check it all incase there is something wrong, but I find they sometimes don’t and just give you tablets instead than finding the route of the problem 🙈.
It has taken me three months to find out that I have a cyst, it was a pain, but with me pestering them I am finally getting answers that I want, so don’t give up lovely and hopefully it is nothing ❤️
Aw it definitely does play with your mental health aswell as if we don't have enough to deal with I'm currently on tramadol and she did say to call back if its still there in a few days but its a constant battle having to get drs to listen to us isnt it. I dread to think the amount of phonecalls ive made this past year!
Thank you so much, i hope your okay if you ever want to talk message me anytime xxx
Yeah it is so true! Some days I just feel like breaking down because of being in pain all the time 😔. It is so hard for us all, but so grateful finding this page as it has helped so much and everyone has been so helpful too ❤️.
Aww that’s good that they have told you to call back if you still have any issues. It is exactly that, I feel like I am constantly calling the Drs and it does feel like a constant battle 🙈.
Aww no problem at all and thank you so much, I am always here too if you ever need a chat ❤️
Hi So sorry to hear your in such pain. Three months ago I had sugery removal of endometriosis ovary cyst. Before I was diagnosed and had surgery, I had pain in both legs especially when on period or before start of period. Unfortunately pain in the legs or thighs is connected to endo. I wish you all the best with the journey.
Hi there.Your so very welcome. Yes surgery has relieved my endo pain. I was off work for four months constantly in pain taking pain killers to ease the pain off a cyst of 8cm sitting on left ovary, hip hurting, legs hurting constantly especially when on period the pain was unbearable. On the day I was rushed to hospital back in September 2021 the endo cyst had twisted and was so lucky it did repute. I hope I have helped xxx.
I have leg pain in both legs from top of thigh and shooting down until just above my knees. It’s most horrific pain. I’ve had since age 14. I’m 42 now. Diagnosed via lap 9 years ago. Stage 4 endo. Surgery did not help. I use tens unit and hot water bottles and ibuprofen. Pain is only day before period and during. Definitely endo related
