Naproxen
Really sorry but it’s several years since I took Naproxen and can’t really remember whether it helped me. I’ve been through a variety of painkillers and nerve medication but have abandoned them all apart from Cocodamol which is for Spinal Stenosis rather than Polymyalgia. I’m curtently on 3mg of Prednisolone

Hello all - hope you are all doing well, I dip in and out of the forum but trying not to get too involved until I have a better picture of my situation. My MSUS scans are next week on Wednesday and I will update then about procedure and cost etc. In the meantime, I thought I would let you all know that

TFCC Wrist Pain
Hi, I have pain in my left wrist and have been told its a tear in the triangular fibrocartilage complex (the cartilage in the wrist joint on the little finger side). The pain has been there for approx 8 months and even though I'm left handed I've started doing most things with my right hand. As

Can Ibuprofen exacerbate the symptoms of tinnitus?
I had weeks of a blissful episode of no tinnitus due to changing my diet and also recovery from what was a bad sinus infection for weeks. However, it has come back with a vengeance as I now feel as though I am in a constant tunnel with what feels like a zooming noise in both ears. This started when

Anyone have pressure headaches round the back of their head that don't respond to painkillers? Need solutions to this other than sleeping.
Background info: 21. Female. Been on 100mcg of levothyroxine since Feb 2020. My last bloods (In Jan 2021) were at normal levels - if I remember correctly my TSH was 4, so the Doctor didn't want to up my levo dose even though I had been feeling very tired etc at that time - she suggested the symptoms

Hamstring injury
I'm miserable. Four weeks ago today I injured my knee. I hadn't done any running for a while, so did lots of walks in the preceding couple of weeks. I do a there and back run down the Cuckoo Trail. So on the day I'd reserved for the first run, I warmed up and did a gentle jog to the outer point, then

GP suspects Endo.
I'm feeling a little lost, and really hoping someone can help me, I think some advice would be helpful. Just someone being able to relate to me, that would put my mind at ease. Since the end of last year I have been having awful pain in my back and in my pelvic area. I think there have been things in

(New here!) Does endometriosis mean daily pain?
Hi, I am 19 years old and I've been suffering with severe period pain for about 6 years. I've been sick and almost fainted countless times. Went to my GP last year and was given mefenamic acid, which did nothing even when taken with painkillers. Went back to GP and was put on the pill. Still during pill

So I have a question about a pain in my ass.
Sorry, I had to make the joke after seeing the passing of one of our own at such a young age in a previous thread. Anyway, I've had this hip pain that's been bothering me for almost a month now. It goes up on the right side, down to my butt (shut up j-o-h-n) glute and hamstring. Some days it's way

Might I have Mastocytosis rather than MCAS?
Hi, I experienced a very strange phenomenon last night that I've never had before and it's made me question my diagnosis of MCAS. I had a reheated (pretty old!) home-made cauliflower cheese. I had had it the night before too and it had caused horrendous bloating, which I'm used to (I have IBS) but I

Mtx and breathing difficulties/ chest pain update
Thank you lovely people for your helpful replies. The breathing has settled but I’ve had chest discomfort and felt very unwell for more than a week now. Chest x ray was normal and oxygen levels normal, consultant says not pneumonitis. GP has signed me off for another week as still not improving. Just

Opioid Analgesics. Withdrawal from patients already prescribed long term.
I despair when I see this need for a person to get a "High" from a drug. These are the people who are causing medication to become higher class drugs and in the case of Codeine, which I am fighting the MHRA and Depth of health, to being withdrawn from sensible patients who benefit from relief of pain
