I have pain in my left wrist and have been told its a tear in the triangular fibrocartilage complex (the cartilage in the wrist joint on the little finger side).
The pain has been there for approx 8 months and even though I'm left handed I've started doing most things with my right hand.
As resting it is difficult I think the healing process is taking longer. It is better than it was but still not right.
Anyone else with the same issue or got better from it with or without surgery.
I don't know a great deal about it so grateful for any info.
Thanks

Sorry to hear about your pain, but don’t think you’ll get a lot of help from this forum - we specialise in Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis - both autoimmune diseases.
Have had a quick look at other forums, and there doesn't seem to be an obvious one for your complaint.
All can suggest is use search engine, and see if that comes up with any help - but guess you probably did that to find us.
If you don't rest it you are probably tearing it again and again so it never gets to heal - remember mum telling you not to pick at something or it'd never get better!
I completely tore knee ligaments and that was managed conservatively - with a brace to limit movement for weeks. I was lucky and it healed very quickly as a result but I couldn't bend the knee at all for at least 2 months because the orthopod said if I did it would just keep putting me back to the beginning. The result was equally as good as with surgery, possibly better at 18 months, and with none of the risks. But these things do take time even with optimum conditions.
