A conundrum for use v. non-use of specific amino acids in muscle atrophy and immune support for CLL patients
CLL and cancer patients, particularly those over 70, are often concerned about muscle wasting or muscle atrophy. Sarcopenia is characterized as the progressive loss of muscle mass that is typically associated with aging. These patients are frequently advised to increase their intake of dietary proteins

Contraception?
I was put on
yasmin
to help with my acne. But after years of use it caused my cervix to bleed. I've had to come off
yasmin
but now my acne is back with a vengeance. I want to be on another contraceptive to help with my acne but I'm worried it'll damage my cervix more. Any advice/suggestions? TYIA x

Continued weight loss after dietary changes?
Hello! After a lot of scary symptoms (with the commonly associated GI symptoms running in the background for some time), I was finally dx with gluten intolerance (very high IgG) back in August. I also started losing weight rapidly due to my intestinal and pancreatic damage and inability to absorb nutrients

URGENT HELP! TRIGGER WARNING
I’m on
Yasmin
contraceptive poll, I had I unprotected intercourse with my boyfriend last week. I missed my pill the following day but been taking it ever since. Is there a chance of being pregnant or is my anxiety just playing tricks on me and I’m overthinking it all.

How to get periods back? Newbie!
Long story short, I have endo, had a lap and some treatment last summer, then got breakthrough bleeding in December so decided (with my GP) to stop my pill (
Yasmin
), await a withdrawal and a 'normal' period, then go back on it as it works well for my endo and I get on well with it.

Experiences Of Yasmin?
Hi all, I have been put on
Yasmin
to help with endometriosis ( I had a lap done in November 2018) and I also have PCOS. I have been taking it for 7 days so far and I have to say I feel pretty rubbish. Very tired, snappy - and I mean SNAPPY.

Lactose free yoghurt (no cream, no sugar added, plain, live cultures-it’s always there with lactose free yoghurt)...
I’d asked the same question in coeliac network (i’ve recently moved to ibs network). Do you see any reason why it causes loose bm? Do any of you experience the same? Thoughts crossing my mind: Casein allergy would be more serious i reckon/casein intolerance-if there is such a thing?/dairy fat?/sugar

Best contraception for hypothyroid?
I wonder why the
Yasmin
was so bad? Maybe high estrogen? Are there any pills that are less damaging to the thyroid function? Should I ask doc to refer me to endocrinologist? I’m lost 🤦🏼♀️ Thanks for any advice xxx

Omega-3 supplement does not help above 50- Study indicates.
A lot of Research, large fish oil trials on Omega 3 in form of EPA/ DHA have been conducted over last 2 decades. The results have never been consistent with regards to health claims on CV risk, cholesterol, Brain Health, eye health, anti-inflammatory, etc. etc. While EPA / DHA may have shown some

I am absolutely dreading Friday - a happy day that I should be looking forward to but I am suffering from awful side effects of the
Yasmin
birth control pill for my PMDD. I’ve had to come off it today and going back to the doctors to try an alternative.

So long story short I’m on
Yasmin
the pill have been taking it how I should everyday. Granted I missed a few days in my previous pack and had sex- used condoms but they broke. Thought I might be pregnant but have started bleeding when I shouldn’t be along with pain.
