I need urgent advise. I have Endometriosis and Adenomyosis! I’m on Yasmin contraceptive poll, I had I unprotected intercourse with my boyfriend last week. I missed my pill the following day but been taking it ever since. Is there a chance of being pregnant or is my anxiety just playing tricks on me and I’m overthinking it all. I also suffer with severe constipation so I’m just not sure what is causing my pain and nausea!
I’d love all your advice and opinions!
I think missing it for a day will be fine, as I've forgotten it on a few occasions when I was younger! If it's the combined pill it works in two ways; preventing ovulation and thinning the lining of the uterus so implantation is less likely. I think 24 hours isn't quite enough for the hormone levels to drop to make ovulation happen; it's a process of the hormones in the pill reducing enough so an LH surge is produced followed by ovulation 48 hours later, which can all take about 3 days. Usually with the pill though when you stop it all your hormones crash and hence you have a breakthrough bleed first before your cycle begins.
Best thing to do if you're not sure is wait for your break in your pack or 2 weeks after sex and do a urine test / see your GP. If you're really worried I think most GP surgeries do a call back from a doctor, so that may be your first thing to do.
Your pain and nausea could be you worrying! or your endo symptoms.

Agreed with farahziya! Another thing to add is 1 week is way to early to experience pregnancy symptoms maybe the panic and anxiety is making you feel nauseated ect good luck! This happens to the best of us including myself! Xxx
