Xtandi and alcohol
I have been taking
Xtandi
for over six months. It has reduced my psa from 3.4 to 0.19. I exercise most days so the effects are limited, however my tolerance to alcohol has diminished. I'm only talking about a few beers two or three times a week after playing walking football.

I'm currently on
Xtandi
and you are supposed to take it at about the same time every day. Nine hours time difference between here and there.

One consolidated, easy to follow modality
I write this because I would like to see if there is anyone on this site that can encapsulate a plan/treatment modality to augment the usual standard of care treatments such as Lupron, Zytiga,
Xtandi
, provenge, chemo etc. There might already be such a post on this site.

Anyone on Apalutamide (Erleata)
Am currently on
Xtandi
but PSA keeps going up (33) but all chemistries are normal? He suggests waiting until we can move to Apa. Anyone have any backpain or leg weakness from
Xtandi
. I did very well on Zytiga for 5 years. Best to all! Eighty years old and 17 years with PCa!!

Xtandi & Neuropathy
IHi everyone, I’ve been on
Xtandi
for 3 months. Prior to this I had 6 rounds of chemo, Taxatere. I began having foot pain, after starting Taxatere. However, the foot pain (left foot only) has gotten worse recently. I take 4 pills before I go to bed and within 2 hours the pain begins.

Update- new treatment plan and a sprinkle of hope
His oncologist at the Cle clinic is putting him into a clinical trial which involves
Xtandi
and another agent (can’t recall the name). He’s tapering off of prednisone and Zytiga and will be starting in a week. He has been feeling pretty good. His back pain is tolerable and his weight is steady.

Anybody try Keytruda for APC
Chemo, Zytiga,
Xtandi
, luprin, Lynparza. All with no benefits. Looking at my last biopsy I will be trying to get in a trial for Keytruda. Has anybody had any experience with this drug for prostate cancer.

My journey wth metastasized PCa
I am starting chemo next week after Zytiga and
Xtandi
failed to lower my PSA. My physical done last year showed a PSA at 3.1 and 7 months later the PSA was at 39.1 and i was diagnosed with met PCa. I looked back at 5 years of PSA readings, and each time the PSA was increasing.

TURP scheduled tomorrow - concerns
My unfortunate current situation is a climbing PSA over 100 (rising 10% month on month since on
Xtandi
) and what seems like a very limited to response to dual ADT. I have extensive bone mets which showed spreading on recent CT/ MRI (had radiation last week to prevent a T10 sinal cord compression).

Update on my situation and request opinion
Is
Xtandi
with Lupron a reasonable choice of further treatment.

My Chemo journey
I am now starting
Xtandi
, I have another check up in 4 weeks. MO said that if
Xtandi
is failing after 3 months then I can go on Lutetium 177 trial, so I have a nervous wait. Keep fighting, Hazard

Now off Xtandi trial. Rechallenging with Taxotere next.
After a recent MRI, my husband was taken off the
Xtandi
trial. Scans showed uptake in spine. MO said PSA is no longer reliable indicator for hubby. We’ve followed the standard of care except for the trial drug. He is now going to rechallenge with Taxotere.

Metastatic Prostate Cancer
Proton therapy and seeds, reoccurrence in 10/15 cryotherapy and lupron, Provenge in 2017, and then rising PSA and now
XTandi
May 8th. PSA now down .8. Started plant based diet and keto and not sugar. Looking more options before these bullets run out.

Almost through with Drs for the month. (of course it is the 28th)
PSA Down again on just
Xtandi
lower dose (120 mg from 160 mg.). No new mets. three of 5 old mets dead. Remaining two much less active. VA and Oncologist say I am officially in remission with PSA of 0.118 . Still weak and on Phys. Ther. to get strength back.

What's my next line of defense?
At this point my next line of defense was to start a daily dose of
Xtandi
(Enzalutamide).

Stopping Xtandi perhaps temporarily due to dementia
Xtandi
hasn’t produced great PSA decline anyway but did seem to level PSA at 8. Also hubby has recent orchiectomy and Provenge last year so he does have that going for him.
