Started taking Exjade for iron overload from transfusions
Did this for 3 reasons. I am one of a handful of around 20 people taking both drugs with rux maybe one of 10 taking it with with a trial drug as well. Why do I do it? Other patients took the gamble to try rux and imatinib and lost their gamble so I feel I owe my opportunity to them. Pure research. This

UK Brain injury support after 13years!
I suffered a mild brain injury After being attacked in 2007 and a period of unconsciousness. I consider myself as high functioning & have a very good engineering job. However ever since my brain injury my mood seems very flat & neutral. I feel joyless and get no great feelings of pleasure. I don’t feel

Hi there, i am new to this site and am hoping you may be able to help.
I had a stroke 2 years ago, my mobility, speech and vision are fine. I was left with brain damage and a rare condition called visual agnosia. It is a very frustrating condition and if there is anyone out there it would good to talk.

IBS attack from SLIM FAST!??????
Hello all, I stupidly tried a slim fast shake yesterday and well let's say I have had chronic diarreah ever since ! My question is how long can an attack last ? I know I have a milk sensivity but can tolerate cheese and butter so though one shake to try would be ok! Obvs not, I'm honestly raining out

7 year old day time wetting
Since June, my 7 year old son has been leaking urine in the daytime. It started off every now and again and I put it down to laziness when playing his computer games but now it is numerous times a day at random times. I find it is worse on the run up to doing a poo. We have had him tested for a UTI which

After a couple of weeks illness and calf trouble, consultation with a physio and more rest than i would of liked, i'm back and ready to go 😊. I said i wouldn't give up and I'm not. So run 1 week 1 done and it feels good, then back home to hose the dog down... Which he really didn't enjoy but loved

Raised bilirubin and Gallstones
Hi First post: My Repeated blood Tests showed raised bilirubin of 33. A gp last year mentioned Gilbert syndrome as I haven’t symptoms. So as this year bilirubin levels are still high I went for an Ultrasound scan which confirmed gallstones . Could the raised bilirubin be the cause of gallstones or do

Arthritis in the spine
Hi I have cervical spondylosis and we needed a good spinal support mattress as my husband too has a bad back, we have an Emma which is just right, it’s supportive but soft too, especially for my spine as I have now just been operated on and the support is amazing. Good luck

Good Advice about Incontinence
A kind member, sharon crayn, was kind enough to take the time to educate me so that I could better help my mom. It's such good advice, I needed to share for others facing the same: Urologists fall into 2 basic types: generalists who treat all types of urologic symptoms and problems, and those who specialize

Very fatty liver and stopping drinking, but want tips on returning safely to alcohol when I have reversed
Had a fibroscan today and CAP was 274 dB/m. 5.4 kp. Alt 248 and AST 125. Given up alcohol for last month and lost 1.5 stone but was caning the booze hard before and especially during lockdown. Relieved that no apparent fibrosis but way fatty liver so looks like I need to crack on with abstaining.

I have diverticulitis which I was to,d 25 years back, it hasn’t bothered me much

Does anyone have this along side their fibromyalgia? I am having a call from physio on Tuesday regarding this. My wrist in the last week has been hurting so much, I've broken cups, plates, glasses etc as I've not been able to hold them. Holding a cup of tea is trauma now. Anyone the same?

Anyone been diagnosed with IBS even with raised calprotectin?
Hi, I’m pretty new here. I’ve recently (Last 6 weeks) been suffering with constant stomach pains and cramps. I’ve been going to the toilet only once a day, but stool is very soft and occasionally has mucus. I’ve never seen blood. Bloods have come back fine but fecal calprotectin was 722. I’ve been referred

New medicine
Hello everyone! I recently got put on Prozac only 10 mg right now, but I was wondering if y’all have any thoughts on how it’s worked for you, and if y’all have had any side effects? I get very anxious about how I will feel on medication, I tend to dwell on the side effects and look for them in myself
