I’m on 87.5mcg levo. My last blood tests showed low ferritin (32), t4 19.1 (12-22) t3 3.9 (3.1-6.8), slightly over range testosterone (on hrt but not on any testosterone). I’m seeing a thyroid specialist for the first time at the end of the month and will ask about iron testing and low ferritin, and

barium in Brazil nuts/selenium
I take one or two small Brazil nuts every day because I have hashimoto and it was advised for selenium which is lacking in thyroid patients. I read of someone whose doctor told them they had high levels of barium which affects memory and the doctor had no idea how you can rid the body of barium. This

Negative result today
As expected I had a negative pregnancy test this morning. We knew the odds were against us, but it doesn’t make it any easier. I’m not really sure how to feel at the moment, as we had expected this outcome, but until taking the test, I was still holding on to that tiny bit of hope, that maybe, just

There are only two ways to order online through the search engine. The first does offer PayPal but refuses to do what even the manufacturer will do, which is pack the product in Styrofoam to protect the integrity of the medicine! Sure, you'll save a few bucks but the medicine will be inferior. Not because

DCM Genetic Test
My son has recently been diagnosed with DCM and I came across some info suggesting first degree relatives should be referred to a specialist clinic to be checked out. The BHF apparently will provide a letter to your GP to support this referral. How does this work. Will there be a fee for the letter?

Question about accuracy of free t4 test
Hello, I had a recent blood draw in which my GP threw in a T4F without telling me so I took my thyroid medication like usual and had the blood drawn about 3.5 hours later. I usually skip my meds until after a blood draw if I’m expecting thyroid labs to be done. My T4 level was 1.9 (0.8-1.7) and I’m

Bowel Endo?
Saw GP last week and stool results came back with very raised Calprotectin (inflammation) and Blood in stools (FIT test). I’ve now been referred on the urgent 2-week ?cancer pathway, could also be IBD with results so now waiting on an urgent colonoscopy. Could this be bowel endo? Lots of overlapping

Puffy fingers without Raynaud's?
I've committed the cardinal sin and entrusted Dr Google to diagnose me leading to feeling pretty distraught about the future, or lack of it... I've developed puffy fingers in the last few months, pretty much always brought on by activities - DIY, weeding in the garden. They don't tend to become puffy

Considering coming off T3
hi all. Been a while since I used this forum. But I’ve been pondering a couple of things relating to my health and the impact of T3 on it. I’ve included latest blood results. Firstly I feel broadly well, albeit I had pneumonia in January this year and was hospitalised for two weeks. Since then

Possible early Kidney Disease?
My husband has secondary, treatment resistant, hypertension and I was looking into possible health conditions that may be causing the high blood pressure and came across polycystic kidney disease. His recent blood test/urine test showed a egfr of 69, creatinine over the high normal range and protein

Good outcome, and relief for the time being
My visit to Brightons Royal Sussex Hospital today has been exhausting but I have come away knowing the outcome of my short synacthen test and having delayed surgery on the pesky pituitary adenoma that was revealed (unexpectedly) by MRI in January. The good news is that my adrenal glands are capable

Good week, bad week etc etc. Few years later it started happening almost every night soon as I’m about to fall asleep and it gradually gotten worse. I went to see my doctor

Update on neurology appointment
Saw the local consultant here in Aberdeen (not a RLS specialist) had a thick pile of paperwork, journals etc to give him. However, these were not needed (yet!) I gave him my last week symptom severity scale and monitor (from RLS-UK.ORG) which he will scan into my notes and encouraged me to bring new

Trying again as sadly no replies last time: Where to buy T3 online please - not Tiromel
I am looking for sources of T3 online that is not Tiromel please. I successfully found a source previously from this great community but that has dried up sadly. Any help would be gratefully received as I am running low. Please private message me. Many thanks

Day 12 after embryo transfer and signs of period starting
Today is day 12 after embryo transfer. I’m due to take a pregnancy test Wednesday morning, however this morning I’m sadly starting to show the initial signs of my period coming. I haven’t had any spotting at all since the transfer, and my period due date is today, so it seems too much of a coincidence

Thyroid depressed cont....
My original post is of the same name. I wish I could remember each member's handle. I was really struck by some of the comments. Each reply had a piece of the puzzle "why" I've been feeling so unwell since I started using this new supplier. I believe I only ordered Thyroid-S three times from this person

Hi Out There! I began having steatorrhea 10 years ago while taking care of my ex-husband who was dying of metastasized lung cancer. After his radiation treatments he liked to go to a certain breakfast style restaurant, and I had no idea that French toast could be so devastating to my body! I saw a doctor
