It’s Nice for Mice to get out of the House
I’ve had an interesting few days, I also appologise for breaking my promise, as we are still in Tourette’s Syndrome Awareness month and I haven’t been blogging everyday as I said I would. It’s been an interesting few days from both a ticcy perspective and other events. I did have a cold a few days

No TV and no internet make Lucy go crazy...
Well it will eventually. From tomorrow I no longer have internet (no wi-fi connection in the house) and because I have no money, I can't afford a TV license so I will also not have TV... unless I watch it downstairs with the others. I will still be able to access the internet occasionally in the local

I have for sometime been gaining weight quite quickly, I blamed meds and had them changed. The gain has continued so I have been very careful what I have been eating and I am definitely not over eating. and I still gain and loose but still over a stone that shouldn't be there. I have spoken to my GP

Have any of you been given nabilone?
For a while a few years ago I was given nabilone for my TS. As it was a while ago and during a particularly bad year for the tics I can't remember much about it! I had to stop because at the time I was on a university course that needed 100% concentration and I do remember that it made me very fuzzy

There is a Light That Never Goes Out
Really I should be going to bed, but I have no inclination to sleep whatsoever, my body is slightly tired but my mind is still in overdrive. It has been for a couple of days now after been very low and delicate. Actually my hearing has taken on new superpowers today. At this very moment I’m listening

YAWN!!!
I'm not tired, just REALLY BORED. I can't do anything without being BORED. I wasn't BORED of playing PS2 all day, watching DVDs, Playing Sims 3 and listening to/playing music before but now I feel dead almost. I am hoping this is just going to be a temporary side-effect or something because I don't think

My discoveries- Right or Wrong?
So my campaign to raise awareness is moving slowly, but surely. I have been in touch with Tim Howard (Everton FC Goalkeeper) who has Tourettes Syndrome and he is keen to help. I have also met with my local MP, because while on this journey I discovered like many I am sure, that you have to battle to

Vocal Tics or Motor Tics?
All of us with Tourette's Syndrome know how loud vocal tics can effect your everyday life. They surprise us at moments when we need to be silent; they shout out the most awful things in the most embarrassing situations. For the last couple of weeks I have really tried to suppress my vocal tics, this

So you think you’re Funny?
This is a message to all those poor, poor people that find themselves on the internet, mainly Youtube and Facebook following the rest of the crowd and thinking that your “well funny” well, sadly you’re not, you won’t see me laughing, you won’t see any of my friends laughing either, that’s because at

Measuring Tourette's
Measurement is important because hard numbers can prove things that vague impressions cannot. Measuring the severity of TS is notoriously difficult for a variety of reasons.
