Made my decision about ablation and very interesting article
Firstly, to my surprise I have an ablation booked for April 9th. But.....after doing much reading and talking to my EP I think I am going to decline at this time. What made my mind up is the article I have attached below which I think some of you will find very interesting. It talks about the PVI and

Angular Cheilitis?
Just wondering if anyone suffers from Angular Cheilitis with their RA keep getting it and mentioning to the GP but he just ignored it. I've had my B12 checked and it was ok. I've read sulfasalazine can cause it. I'm also on Benepali jab once a week. Ive also read it could be folate levels but I think

what does urine colour indicate?
Hi everyone. Just a quick question! I am on a cruise holiday at present and am SI 3 x 1.5 hydro b12 daily. My pee is a light lemon and clear so no sign of the excess b12 being pee'd out as far as colour goes. Does this mean that my body is utilizing all of what I am SI?? I am still experiencing neuropathy

Goitre and antibodies but bloods all fine
Hi, I developed a fairly big lump in my neck in July 23. Did the 2 week wait thing and had an ultrasound and saw an ENT consultant. They diagnosed a thyroid nodule and said it looked normal with no need for FNA. Consultant asked for endo to see me and I am still waiting for this or any acknowledgment

new to RLS
hi, I’ve been trying to understand what RLS is and what treatments to have. The neurologist tells me I have RLS, my symptoms are tingling sensation, sometime pins and needles in both feet and calves. I have it all day, everyday. I notice it when resting and don’t when standing and walking. My B12

Suspected Pernicious Anemia - what next?
Hello, I am very glad to have found this forum as I have been researching B12D and PA a lot recently. I became familiar with the society’s website and found it so helpful. I am 29F in the US and I suspect I have Pernicious Anemia. This is what I know so far (sorry in advance if this post rambles on)

folate dropping
I have been injecting since July 2023, thanks to you all, I knew to check my ferritin when I felt something else was off…since no doctor thought it necessary. It was 14. Now I am on iron supplements. My folate has always been >24. However, since starting the iron, my folate has dropped to 15 (still

Article states b2 deficiency the cause of functional b12 deficiency
what do you all think about this article which states serum b12 can be falsely elevated if there is a b2 deficiency which causes inactive cobalomine to result in elevated serum b12 https://www.iomcworld.org/articles/paradoxical-vitamin-b12-deficiency-normal-to-elevated-serum-b12-with-metabolic-vitamin-b12

After 25 years they have stopped my B12 - what can I do?
I'm in my early sixties. Generally very good health. On no medication. About twenty five years ago my then brilliant GP did a blood test for B12. A few days later rang me to come to the surgery immediately where he injected B12 himself. Apparently I had dangerously low levels of B12 that indicated I

Was thinking of Dr. Chandy yesterday, God bless him for having such courage
Long story but I have had a couple of head MRIs due to lesions that are perpendicular in nature. To check if they have increased. I had access to my own scans so I knew that they were checking for MS. As I could read the medical terminology. But my GP (newish to me) never told me. I don't know why, it

Prep for egg collection- impryl or coq10?
hi lovely warriors, I hope you’re all keeping strong and positive on your journeys xx We are preparing for new fresh cycle , the consultant advised to take impryl (for both me and husband) and 200 mg coq10 x 3 a day. Today I was reading Impryl website and it says not to mix with coq10. Now I’m wondering

Questions about TSH and advice on results over the past year much appreciated
Hi everybody, I've posted several times lately and I just wanted to ask for advice on thyroid related issues. I had COVID 3 times from June 22 - Jan 23 and was symptomatic each time. I did have a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia in 2018 but had been feeling a lot better in 2020 until I got COVID. Above

Daughter, still really not great and cannot get through to medics
Short one as , well, I am buggered. Brain not working , so here to pick brains. As per not really getting anywhere with Gp. They have sent me a form to arrange repeat bloods, usually children are booked into walk in centre next door fairly quickly , but booking myself that isn't an option. So they

Vitamin B12 - Missing piece?
Hello Everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine! I've recently started taking Vitamin B12 supplements (specifically, https://www.cytoplan.co.uk/vitamin-b12-sublingual-as-methylcobalamin-adenosylcobalamin ) on weekends before bedtime, and I've noticed some positive effects. The following day

ferritin level suddenly jumped.. can this happen??
hello forum friends. I went to my gp last week and requested a referral for an iron infusion. I said I’d pay for a private haematology initial consultation if necessary. he’s referred me via nhs but I had to have up to date iron tests.. My ferritin mid June was 32. I had been taking three arrows

Vitamin B12 Consultant
Is Dr Klein the only B12 consultant in the UK? Is there others or has anyone been treated by Dr Morris and knows how to get hold of him?
